Dear Parishioners and Friends, Peace and Blessings! . Happy St. Valentine Day. Today is also World Marriage Day. At all the Masses we will have the renewal of Marriage Vows for those couples present. Let us pray for married couples, those preparing for marriage, and those who have lost a spouse. May God bless them all. Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of our Lenten journey. Please see the guidelines for Lent found in today’s bulletin. Also, as has been mentioned, Ashes will be sprinkled on the top of each ones head this year, with no phys-ical contact taking place. At the 10:00 Mass we will celebrate the Rite of Send-ing for those to be baptized on Easter. May their Lenten jour-ney help them to continue their growth with Jesus. In today's Gospel, the man with leprosy took the initiative, approaching Jesus and asking for healing. His re-quest to Jesus can be interpreted as a courageous and daring act. The confidence of the leper in Jesus' ability to heal him is evident in the words of his request. While healing the man, Jesus touched him, which also violated established social norms. This is an important sign of the depth of Jesus' com-passion for the man and an important statement about Jesus' interpretation of the Law of Moses. Queridos Feligreses y Amigos, ¡Paz y bendiciones! Feliz día de San Valentín. Hoy también es el Día Mundial del Matrimonio. En todas las misas tendremos la renovación de los votos matrimoniales de las parejas presentes. Oremos por los matrimonios, los que se preparan para el matrimonio y los que han perdido a su cónyuge. Que Dios los bendiga a todos. El miércoles es Miércoles de Ceniza, el comienzo de nuestro viaje de Cuaresma. Consulte las directivas para la Cuaresma que se encuentran en el boletín de hoy. Además, como se ha mencionado, este año se esparcirán cenizas en la parte superior de la cabeza de cada uno, sin que se produzca ningún contacto físico. En la Misa de las 10:00 celebraremos el Rito de En-vío de los bautizados en Pascua. Que su jornada de Cuaresma les ayude a continuar su crecimiento con Jesús. En el Evangelio de hoy, el leproso tomó la iniciativa, acercándose a Jesús y pidiendo curación. Su petición a Jesús puede interpretarse como un acto valiente y atrevido. La con-fianza del leproso en la capacidad de Jesús para sanarlo es evidente en las palabras de su petición. Mientras sanaba al hombre, Jesús lo tocó, lo que también violó las normas socia-les establecidas. Esta es una señal importante de la profundi-dad de la compasión de Jesús por el hombre y una declaración importante sobre la interpretación de Jesús de la Ley de Moi-sés. Si bien existe la carta de la Ley, también debemos mirar el Espíritu de la Ley.

Confesiones en la Iglesia de San Francisco de Asis Durante los tiempos de oración privada (3PM-6PM), los
frailes estarán disponibles para escuchar confesiones. Esto tendrá lugar en el narthex/vestíbulo de la Iglesia.
Las confesiones serán cara a cara, se usarán máscaras y, si es una línea, recuerde 6 pies de distancia.
La línea se formará en el pasillo junto a la Santísima Ma-dre. El Padre Prem en inglés y español y el Padre Martin
y Padre Joy en ingles.
ACTUALIZACIÓN DE LA OFICINA PARROQUIAL
1. La oficina estará abierta de Lunes a Jueves de
10:00 a 3:00. 2. La Iglesia estará abierta para orar de Lunes a
Viernes de 3:00 a 6:00. 3. Confesiones estarán disponibles durante las
horas de oración. 4. Todos deben usar máscaras y mantener el distanciamiento social en la iglesia. 5. Los baños permanecerán cerrados hasta previo
aviso. 6. Durante las misas de fin de semana, tendremos una canasta disponible para que
puedan dejar sus sobres de ofrendas, no será como la colecta normal de pasar canastas.
7. La señal de la paz será con un movimiento de cabeza o moviendo la mano solamente.
Ningún contacto. 8. La comunión se recibirá en la mano solamente. Sin excepción alguna. 9. Misas, Matrimonios, bautizos y funerales estarán permitidos con un máximo de 75 personas. Deben usar mascaras todo el tiempo. 10. La entrada a la iglesia será 15 minutos antes
de Misa y las puertas cerraran al comienzo de la Misa. Use la puerta del costado del Monas-terio/oficina.

Confession in St. Francis of Assisi Church During times of private prayer (3PM—6PM), the friars
will be available to hear confessions. This will take place in the narthex/vestibule of the church.
Confessions will be face to face, masks worn, and if a line, remember 6 feet apart.
Line will form on the aisle by the Blessed Mother. Fr. Prem in English and Spanish and Fr. Martin & Fr. Joy
in English.
PARISH OFFICE UPDATE
1. Office will be open Monday through
Thursday from 10:00 to 3:00. 2. Church will be open for private prayer
Monday through Friday from 3:00 to 6:00.
3. Confessions will be available during the private prayer times.
4. All must wear masks and keep social dis-tancing in church.
5. The bathrooms will be locked until further notice.
6. During weekend Masses, there will be a basket to place your offering in and no formal collection.
7. Sign of peace will be with a nod or a wave only. 8. Communion will be received in the hand
only. No exceptions. 9. All Masses, weddings, baptisms and
funerals are permitted with 75 maximum people. Masks must be worn by all.
10. Entrance to church will be 15 minutes be-fore Mass and doors locked when Mass begins. Use side door by friary.

2021 Lenten Regulations 1. The days of both Fast and Abstinence during Lent and Abstinence during Lent ad Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. If possible, the fast on Good Friday is continued until the Easter Vigil (on Holy Saturday night) as the “paschal fast” to honor the suffering and death of the Lord Jesus, and to prepare ourselves to share more fully and to celebrate more readily His Resurrection. The oth-er Fridays of Lent are days of Abstinence. 2. On a Day of Fast, only one (1) full meal is permitted, and two (2) smaller meals, which., if added together, would not exceed the main meal in quantity. 3. Those between the ages of 18 and 59 are obligated to fast. 4. On a day of Abstinence, no meat may be eaten. Those who have reached the age of 14 obliged by the law of abstinence. 5. The obligation to observe the laws of Fast and Absti-nence “substantially”, or as a whole, is a serious obliga-tion. 6. The Fridays of the year, outside of Lent are designated as days of penance, but each individual may substitute for the traditional abstinence from meat some other prac-tice of voluntary self-denial as penance. 7. The time of fulfilling the Paschal Precept (Easter Du-ty*) extends from the First Sunday of Lent, February 21 to The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, May 30, 2021.
Reglamento de Cuaresma 2021 1. Los días de ayuno y abstinencia durante la Cuaresma y la abstinencia durante la Cuaresma y el Miércoles de Ceniza y el Viernes Santo. Este Precepto debe ser cumplido durante la temporada de la Pascua, desde el primer domingo de Cuaresma, 21 de febrero, hasta la Solemnidad de la Santísima Trinidad, 30 de mayo de 2021.
