That, in gratitude for all that God has given us, we joyfully return a
portion of His gifts to help build His kingdom on earth.
“For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.” (Matthew 11:30)
When we think of being good stewards, we may think that God is
asking too much of us when He calls us to generously share our
time, talent and treasure. However, we must remember that we are
not “owners” of anything, we are merely “stewards” of the gifts
God has given us. All He is asking is that we give back a small
portion of what He has already given to us.

Cuando pensamos en ser buenos administradores, podemos pensar
que Dios nos esta pidiendo demasiado cuando nos llama a
compartir generosamente nuestro tiempo, talento y tesoro. Sin
embargo, debemos recordar que no somos “dueños” de nada,
simplemente somos “administradores” de los dones que Dios nos
ha dado. Todo lo que El esta pidiendo es que devolvamos una
pequeña porción de lo que El ya nos ha dado.

KC BARBEQUE SALE
Next Sunday, July 16, the Knights of
Columbus, will be holding a sausage
sale after all morning Masses. All the
proceeds will go to Ken Karr, who is
currently very sick and greatly in need
of our help. Ken and his family are long-time St. Francis de
Sales parishioners. Ken has also been an adult leader and
Scoutmaster for Troop 80 for about 10 years. He has coordi-
nated weekend camping and summer camps every year in
his tenure as Scoutmaster as well as coordinating the Scout
booth for our annual bazaar.

2017 Life Awareness Program Life Awareness Weekend

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
(RCIA), also called the Catechumenate,
is a spiritual process and the formation
steps one takes to be fully initiated into the Catholic Church; that is,
to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation.
St. Francis de Sales parish offers guidance, formation and religious
education for all who desire to know about the Catholic faith,
beliefs and practices. We welcome the following persons:
An adult wishing to inquire about becoming Catholic
A baptized adult from another Christian faith wishing to
inquire about the Catholic faith
A baptized Catholic adult who has not received the Sacraments
of Reconciliation, Eucharist and/or Confirmation
A non-practicing Catholic wishing to return.

The Station Museum of Contemporary Art has opened an exhibit here in Houston featuring a very blasphemous and offensive image of Our Blessed Lord. Also please express your objection to any public taxpayer funds being used to finance this exhibit.

CAFÉ CATHOLICA 2017: BE NOT AFRAID
This year AYC dates are
July 28 - 30, 2017 Registration for the Archdiocesan Youth Conference is now open! The cost to attend the conference will be $200 and a $50 nonrefundable deposit per child will be required to register. The cost will include the entire weekend attendance, Friday afternoon through Sunday morning, lodging, food, parish group shirts, and transportation. The conference is open to all incoming 9th graders to graduating 12th graders and will take place the weekend of Friday, July 28 through Sunday, July 30. Deposits can be made at the parish office. CENA BAILE/DINNER DANCE
The Hispanic Ministry invites all parishioners to the annual “Cena
Baile” (Dinner & Dance) on Saturday, July 29th, 6:00 p.m.-12:00

Weekend July 8 - 9: The Youth Ministry will be having a bake sale to help with the cost of attending the Archdiocesan Youth Conference. Pastries and sweets will be sold in the piazza after all weekend Masses on Saturday, July 8th and Sunday, July 9th, while supplies last.
Monday, July 10 - 14: Bear Witness is a week long pro-gram for all Middle School and High School students focused on the spiritual and physical growth of each student and the development of young leaders. The week will be hosted by St. Francis de Sales Church, Corpus Christi Church (9900 Stella Link Rd. Houston, TX. 77025), and St. Cyril of Alexandria Church (10503 Westheimer Rd. Houston, TX. 77042).

Silent Auction
The Hispanic Ministry is asking for donations for their Silent Auction during their Dinner/Dance scheduled for July 29, 2017. Please help us out. If you have anything that you would like to donate, please bring it by the parish office to the Hispanic Ministry Office. All proceeds go to the church fund.

The Hispanic Ministry is asking for cake donations for their Cake Auction during their Dinner/Dance scheduled for July 29, 2017. The cakes can be brought to the Hispanic Ministry Office by July 28 or to the Beck Center on July 29. All donations will be greatly appreciated. All proceeds go to the church fund.

Subasta Pastel El Ministerio Hispano esta pidiendo donaciones para su Subasta de Pasteles durante su Cena/Baile programada para el 29 de julio de 2017. Los pasteles se pueden llevar a la Oficina del Ministerio Hispano para el 28 de julio o al Centro Beck el 29 de julio. Todas las donaciones serán muy apreciadas. Todos los ingresos van al fondo de la iglesia.
Young Adults (18-30’s): Come join 700 fellow young Catholics for dinner and great talks in 3 new locations! Café Catholica 2017 “Be Not Afraid” is a dinner lecture series for young adults, featuring dynamic speakers. The Café is held over five Mondays in the summer. Evening schedule: Confessions at 5:15 pm, Mass at 6:15 pm, dinner at 7:15 pm, speaker at 8:15 pm; table exhibits and socializing all evening. Come for all or part of the evening! Free event.
