Baptismal Class second Saturday of the month in February, April, June, August, & October @ 10:00 AM. Altar Society Scholarship The Altar Society of St. Francis is offering two scholarships to a graduating High School Senior or scholar attending an accredited college/trade school. The basic requirement is that you must be a registered member of St. Francis Catholic Church. Beginning May 15, 2017, you may pick up an application at the Parish office during business hours or call the office and one will be mailed to you. All information and rules for applying are disclosed in the Scholarship Criteria forms. The completed applications must be turned into the Parish Office by June 16, 2017; before Noon. Winners will be notified either by telephone and/or letter.

Las clases Pre-bautismales en Español serán el sábado 3 de junio en el salón de Santa Clara a las 4 pm. Llamar a la ofi-cina para pre-inscribirse. English Baptismal classes are on June 10 at 10 am in a classroom. Pre registration is required. The fee for Baptisms in the parish have changed. The Saturday schedule begins at 10 am and many baptizing arrive late. This causes other activities scheduled to start late. To alle-viate this, the fee is $150. If you are on time, $100 will be re-imbursed back to you, if not, you forfeit the entire fee. $50 is for Church maintenance. Thanks for your understanding as we try to maintain schedules without interruption. Quinceañera classes are scheduled for June 10 from 10 am-2 pm in a parish hall classroom. Please bring a bottled water and snack. Pre registration is required.

Dear St. Francis Family, Happy Ascension of Our Lord Sunday! As we celebrate today the solemnity of Lord Jesus Ascension into Heaven, let us be thankful to God our Father for send-ing His beloved son Jesus to save us from eternal damnation and by establishing His church through the apostle Peter “the
rock” guided by the Holy Spirit that keeps and sanctifies Her. Let me thank you all, my beloved big family here at St. Francis, for the great privilege to celebrate my 25th Sacerdo-tal Anniversary (Aug. 22, 1992- 2017). It was a very mean-ingful Sunday for me recently. I really treasure your efforts, time and gifts you’ve extended and shared to me. May God, bless you all for the wonderful celebration of the 25th anni-versary of my priestly vocation. Thank you KoC, LAS, CRHP, Renovación Parroquial, Reencuentro Familiar, Youth & Jóvenes Instrumentos, Gua-dalupanos and Cursillistas. Let me thank you in special way both pastoral and fi-nance council in helping me direct and shepherd this parish and to SVDP ministry for your unfailing efforts and con-cern you’ve been doing for the welfare of our needy broth-ers and sisters around. Querida Familia de San Francisco ¡Feliz Ascensión de Nuestro Señor Domingo! Al celebrar hoy la solemnidad de la Ascensión del Se-ñor Jesús al Cielo, agradezcamos a Dios nuestro Padre por haber enviado su amado hijo Jesús para salvarnos de la con-dena eterna y el establecimiento de su iglesia por medio del apóstol Pedro “la piedra” guiado por el Espíritu que la guía y la santifica. Permítanme darles las gracias, mi querida familia de San Francisco, por el gran privilegio de celebrar mi 25 aniversario sacerdotal (22 de agosto de 1992- 2017). Fue un domingo muy significativo para mí recientemente. Realmente valor sus es-fuerzos, tiempo y regalos que me han extendido y compartido. Que Dios los bendiga a todos por la maravillosa celebración del 25 aniversario de mi vocación sacerdotal. Gracias KoC, LAS, CRHP, Renovación Parroquial, Reencuentro Familiar, El grupo de jóvenes, Guadalupanos y Cursillistas. Spe-cial thanks to Mrs. Joan Colaluca who was in charge of Fa-ther’s Award, Men & Women CRHP # 11 who sponsored the breakfast after 8 AM & 10 AM Masses & Mrs. Venancia, (Nancy), Nava who coordinated with the parish organizations the meal donations for the picnic after 12:15 PM Mass. Joan Colaluca quien se encardo de la placa conmemorativa para el Padre Manny, a los varones y mujeres de CRHP #11 quienes patrocinaron el desayuno des-pués de la misa de 8 AM y 10 AM y a la Sra. Venancia Nava quien coordinó con las organizaciones parroquiales la comida para el picnic después de la misa de 12:15 PM. RE Registration Open for 2017-2018 Registration for Communion and/or Confirmation Classes for the upcoming school year is open now. Religious Education fees will be due at registration time, families must be regis-tered-active members of our parish (using Sunday’s offertory envelopes). I will verify family registration to be considered for enrollment. If the family is registered but not active. Stu-dent’s name will be place in a waiting list; also sacramental information for each student must be provided at registration time. La cuota de inscripción para el programa de Educación Religiosa deberá liquidarse en el tiempo de inscripción, la familia del estudiante deben ser miembros activos registrados de nuestra parroquia (usando sobres del ofertorio del domingo), verificaré que la familia este regis-trada en la parroquia. Si la familia esta registrada pero no activa, el nombre del estudiante se anotara en una lista de espera; también la información sacramental del estudiante debe ser proporcionada en el tiempo de inscripción.
