QUERIDOS HERMANOS Y HERMANAS EN CRISTO.

Es con gran alegría que les escribo este mensaje. Me alegra mucho que mantengan la tradición de llevar a sus hijos al Catecismo, de recibir la doctrina de la Iglesia católica y de los Sacramentos, que son el medio para santificar nuestra vida. Jesucristo es el Salvador de toda la humanidad desde los males del pecado y de la muerte. Con su muerte en la cruz y la Resurrección reabrió las puertas del cielo y de la vida eterna que se habían cerrado con el pecado de Adán y Eva y con todos nuestros pecados. Después de su resurrección Jesús estableció la Iglesia (una, santa, católica y apostólica) para continuar a lo largo de los siglos su obra de salvación: la Iglesia es su esposa, su cuerpo, su continuación en el tiempo, mientras El está glorioso a la derecha del Padre e intercede con sus llagas por nuestra santificacion. Por lo tanto, la Iglesia tiene la tarea de dar a conocer a Cris-to y hacerlo encontrar; en ella el Dios Padre con el Hijo, envía al Espíritu Santo para salvar nuestras vidas y llenarlas de bien, buenas obras y amor. Así, la Iglesia anuncia y ense-ña el misterio de Dios y de Jesucristo con la Predicacion y el CATECISMO y nos transmite la fuerza de la resurrección a través de los SACRAMENTOS. Por lo tanto, si queremos amar a nuestros hijos, es necesario que les enseñemos acer-ca de la fe cristiana católica, y que los preparemos para reci-bir estos grandes medios de salvación y gracia de Dios que son los Sacramentos. Estos son signos visibles y eficaces, hechos a través de obras y palabras, que transmiten una gracia especial y necesaria para la salvación de la persona y de su alma. Los Sacramentos son, sin embargo, una realidad sagrada, dada por Dios a los hombres a través de Cr isto y su Iglesia. Por lo tanto, son muy importantes y merecen un gran respeto: La Iglesia desea profundamente dar a todas personas los sacramentos para la salvación y la santidad de las almas, pero también exige que sean recibidos con la debida preparación y buena disposición. Deafortunadamente, cada vez más estamos viendo el hecho que muchos niños reciben los Sacramentos sin la prepara-ción y disposición adecuadas, las cuales siempre deben comenzar en la familia. En la propia familia desafortunada-mente la Iglesia no es obedecida, cuando le dice a los católi-cos que asistan a la Misa dominical todos los domingos. Muchos niños reciben la Primera Comunión sin acostum-brarse a la misa dominical. Muchas veces los Padres están en una situación de pecado porque no están casados en la Iglesia, y esto ciertamente no es un buen ejemplo para los más pequeños. Después de la Primera Comunión o la Con-firmacion muchos dejan de ir a misa. Esto es ciertamente absurdo y ofensivo de los sacramentos y del don de la salvación ofrecido por el buen Dios. Estamos seguros de que el problema no reside tanto en los niños como en los padres, que han perdido o debilitado la fe y su práctica necesaria...

VERY DEAR BROTHERS AND SISTERS, It is with great joy that I write this message to you. I am very glad that you maintain the tradition of bringing your children to Catechism, to receive the doctrine of the Cath-olic Church, and The Sacraments, which are the means of sanctifying our lives. Jesus Christ is the Savior of all humanity from the evils of sin and death. With his death on the cross and the Resur-rection he reopened the doors of heaven and eternal life that had been closed with the sin of Adam and Eve and with all our sins. After his resurrection Jesus established the Church (one, holy, Catholic and apostolic) to continue over the centu-ries his work of salvation: The Church is his bride, his body, his continuation in time, while he is seated at the right of the Father and intercedes with his sores for our salvation and holiness. Therefore, the Church has the task of making Christ known and met, through which the Father, God sends the Holy Spirit to save our lives and make them full of good, good work and love. So the Church ANNOUNCES and teaches the mystery of God and Jesus Christ with Preach-ing and CATECHISM and transmits to us the salvation and strength of the resurrection through the SACRA-MENTS. It is therefore necessary, if we want to love our children, that we teach them about the Christian Catholic faith, and that we prepare them to receive these great means of God's salvation and grace that are the Sacra-ments. These sacraments are visible and effective signs, made through works and words, that convey a special and necessary grace for the salvation of the person, of his/her soul. The Sacraments are, however, a sacred reality, given by God to men through Christ and his Church. They are therefore very important and deserve great respect: The Church wishes to give to all her sacraments for the salva-tion and sanctity of souls, but also demands that they be received with due preparation and good disposition. Unfortunately, we are seeing more and more of the fact that many children receive the Sacraments without ade-quate preparation and disposition, which must always begin in the family. In the family itself, the Church is not obeyed, when telling Catholics to attend Sunday Mass every Sunday. Many children receive the First Commun-ion without becoming accustomed to Sunday Mass. Many times Parents are in a situation of sin because they are un-married in the Church, and this is certainly not a good ex-ample for the little ones. After the first communion or the Confirmation many stop going to Mass. This is certainly absurd and offensive of the sacraments and the gift of sal-

...gift of salvation offered by the good Lord. We are certain that the problem lies not so much in chil-dren as in parents, who have lost or weakened their faith and its necessary practice. Therefore, we firmly believe that parents must be helped to recover their own faith and the practice of faith. Those who need Catechesis the most, education and teaching today are not children but parents. They need to recover the meaning of life, of The presence of God, of the salvation that Jesus Christ has worked for them, of the need to know and meet Jesus Christ, the Church, and to live the sacraments as a neces-sary means for their own salvation, and not as a tradition-al and folkloric moment in life. Pope Francis himself has repeatedly reiterated, following his predecessors, that the first educators of children in the faith are parents and the family!! The Church certainly comes and helps, but always after the Family: if in the family you do not pray, you do not go to Mass, you do not read the Gospel and the Bible, if you do not pray for blessing before meals, if you do not make the sign of the Cross If you do not help each other in love by invoking the Lord, The Children will surely go to receive Cate-chism and The Sacraments, but afterwards they will for-get everything in a few weeks!! And above all, that cate-chism and sacraments will have no impact on the child's life, in his/her growth and in his/her behavior, in the Family and in society: it will be as if he/she has received nothing!... or almost. So Dear parents, in the face of this disastrous situation (and I am not exaggerating) the only appropriate response is a re-education and evangelization of adults, parents. Therefore, at the beginning of this pastoral and catecheti-cal year, our parish offers catechism for children, but at the same time a catechism for parents: in September, Oc-tober, November and the beginning of December cate-chists for adults will be present, to speak of the sacra-ments, of Christ and of the Church, and of our faith as the foundation and accompaniment and meaning of our whole life. All parents are strongly invited to participate in this catechism that will take place at the same time as lessons for children. In particular, the parents of children who are candi-dates to receive the sacraments of First Communion and the Confirmation are obliged to participate in these catechism. If they don't, we won't feel able to give the children the Sacrament, because we won't feel the guarantee of family support. At the same time, we are planning a course of mar-riage for couples who, being married civilly or living in free union, realize the need to return to a state of grace by receiving sacramental Marriage in the Church. So brothers and sisters, this is good news! The Church takes care for your lives and your temporal and eter-nal future, and does everything to bring the lost sheep back to the sheepfold of a good and holy life that will bring to the eternal life of perfect joy in God. Adults and parents, please do not be indifferent to this call of love! In the peace of Christ, Father Paolo.

...Por lo tanto, creemos firmemente que los padres merecen ser ayudados a recuperar su propia fe y la práctica de la fe. Los que

más necesitan catequesis, ...catequesis, la educación y la enseñanza hoy en día no son los niños, sino los padres. Necesitan recuperar el significado de la vida, de la Presen-cia de Dios, de la salvación que Jesucristo ha obrado para ellos, de la necesidad de conocer y encontrar a Jesucristo, la Iglesia, y vivir los sacramentos como un medio nece-sario para sus salvación, y no como un momento tradi-cional y folclórico en la vida. El mismo Papa Francisco ha afirmado repetidamente, siguiendo a sus predecesores, que los primeros educadores de los niños en la fe son los padres y la familia!! La Igle-sia ciertamente viene y ayuda, pero siempre después de la Familia: si en la familia no se ora, no vas a Misa, no lees el Evangelio y la Biblia, si no oras por bendición antes de las comidas, si no haces el signo de la Cruz, Si no se ayudan unos a otros en el amor invocando al Señor, los niños irán a recibir Catecismo y Los Sacramentos, ¡pero se olvidarán de todo en unas semanas! Y sobre todo, el catecismo y los sacramentos no tendrán ningún impacto en la vida del niño, en su crecimiento y en su compor-tamiento en la Familia y en la sociedad: será como si no hubiera recibido nada!... o casi. Así que, queridos padres, frente a esta desastrosa situación (y no exagero) la única respuesta apropiada es la re-catequisación y evangelización de los adultos, de los pa-dres. Entonces al comienzo de este año pastoral y cate-cístico, nuestra parroquia ofrece catecismo para los niños, pero al mismo tiempo un catecismo de concientización para los padres: en septiembre, octubre, noviembre y comienzo del Diciembre serán presentes catequistas para los adultos, para hablar de los sacramentos, de Cristo y de la Iglesia, y de nuestra fe como fundamento, acompa-ñamiento y sentido de toda nuestra vida. Todos los padres están fuertemente invitados a participar en este catecismo que tendrá lugar al mismo tiempo que las lecciones para los niños. En particular: los padres de los niños que son candidatos a recibir los sacramentos de la Primera Comunión y de la Confir-macion están obligados a participar en estas cateques-is. Si no lo hacen, no nos sentiremos capaces de dar a los niños el Sacramento, porque no sentimos la gar-antía del apoyo familiar. Al mismo tiempo, estamos planeando un curso de mat-rimonio para parejas que, casadas civilmente o vivien-do en libre unión, se dan cuenta de la necesidad de re-gresar a un estado de gracia al recibir el matrimonio sacramental en la Iglesia. Así que hermanos y hermanas, esta es una buena no-ticia: la Iglesia cuida de vuestra vida y de vuestro fu-turo temporal y eterno, y hace todo lo posible para que las ovejas perdidas vuelvan al rebaño de la vida buena y santa que llevara’ a la vida eterna del gozo perfecto en Dios. Adultos y padres, por favor no sean in-diferentes a esta llamada de amor!
