666THTHTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIMESUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIMESUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
No divine or human law can cover the right decisions that we must make in our daily life and in the communi-ty. It is necessary to make decisions that compromise the common good and the exercise of justice. Let us re-member in biblical terms, justice is to exercise God's mercy on those around us. Both the First Reading and the Gospel mark the point of what is most needed to act righteously, “Full trust in God.” Choosing the right thing helps to deepen in the human heart what God asks of each one. Deciding on the good things in life is an everyday thing. The First Ecclesiastical reading says: “If you want, you can observe the commandments; It is in your hands to be faithful. He set fire and water before you; extend your hand to whatever you prefer. In front of men are life and death; each one will be given what he has chosen. ”(Ecclesiastic 5: 14-17) In the Gospel, Jesus urges that we listen to the Law of God and bring it to fullness. In the four examples there is talk of the righteousness of life that is found in the commandments. Every day the person is in the dichoto-my of choosing between what is good and what is not. Let's listen to Jesus who challenges making decisions that will make the Kingdom of God grow. The key is as follows: “Say yes when it is yes, and no when it is no; whatever else is added to it comes from the devil. ”(Matthew 5:37). ©LPi
6º DOMINGO DEL TIEMPO ORDINARIO6º DOMINGO DEL TIEMPO ORDINARIO6º DOMINGO DEL TIEMPO ORDINARIO
(Mateo 5:37) ©LPi

News From San Isidro’s Garden CornerNews From San Isidro’s Garden CornerNews From San Isidro’s Garden Corner
Some of the people who have been reliable workers in the garden are the parish teens who spend school breaks with Fr. Jeff and Deacon Jesus in Ora et Labora. Pray and work is literally what the teens do for a week during Spring Break and Fall break. A large part of the work they do is in the garden and on the church property. They have made great contributions to the garden over the past few years. Some have worked in the garden as a part of the community service they do during their Confirmation preparation. And it seems like they enjoy working together in the fresh air. We thank the students for all the heavy lifting they do.

This year we have Bishop Barron's book, Lenten Gospel Reflections, available for prayer and study during Lent. This book may be used privately, or for faith sharing groups, or may be used for your personal family's prayer and reflection at home. One particular enriching way to experience Lent is to join a faith-sharing group. These small groups meet once a week for study and reflection on the gospel themes of Lent. This is a beautiful opportunity to gather with parish friends to deepen your Lenten experience. All are welcome! Sign-up lists are on the bulletin board . Also, if you are able to host a small group, please sign up on the form to be a host. May we all experience a blessed, holy Lent!
