and available space. Thanks

Thank you to our parishioners and the general public once again for coming

out and supporting our Live Nativity Scene in December. We had a great turn

out and was able to reenact what Christmas is really all about. With the help

of the Knights of Columbus 4th degree Pope John Paul the First Assembly #

3377 and parishioners that came out to play a role made a big impact on

the people that came to watch the event. Special thanks goes out to Scott,

Donna, Bambi, Jett, Trinty, Gianna and Ceclia for allowing us to show their

animals which always makes a live nativity very special. Also thanks to Den-

nis and Rick Miller for the help in making the manger scene and setting it up.

A big thank you goes to Monsignor for his support of this very important pro-

ject for the parish. Fun was had by all, we are looking forward to December

this year.

Thank you,

David Miller

February 13, 2015.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been seeing God all over the place lately! In

the school, the teachers who put together the students amazing schedule for

Catholic Schools Week, chose a new theme this year. They decided it would

be, “Come follow me, I will make you fishers of men.” Miss Thorson and Mrs.

Hodgson arranged a week full of activities and daily themes, based on the

scripture from Matthew. So last Sunday, when I realized the scripture they

chose was from the Mass reading, I was very impressed with their foresight

to look ahead. Well guess what? They had no idea it was the reading from

the Mass that kicked off Catholic Schools Week! But we know who did… God,

of course! God is always present, guiding us, giving us that gentle nudge. If

only we are open to hear Him, we will be given the answer we are looking for.

As I write this, I am thinking of the upcoming events in the parish and the

school. The Holy Spirit is here with all of us, all of the time…here’s proof!

·The children are receiving First Reconciliation soon, both in school and

in RE.

·We are having a wonderful new session of Discover Christ!

·There is much activity, filling boxes for Valentines for Victims!

·We are beginning Lent with an amazing dinner theatre program,

Wedding at Cana!

·Parish Mission in March!

Consider becoming involved with the many activities around the parish and

school. If there is a Bible or book study you’d like to start, call me, and we

will get it started! If you have other mission ideas, call me! If you have ways

we can give back to the amazing church community, call me! I would love to

bring your ideas to life. Let’s encourage each other to keep our minds and

hearts open for the constant love of God through the example of His son and

the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Thank you for allowing me to serve you.
