1. Induction programmes for freshers along with the parents was

organised and they were briefed about extra courses offered,

code of conduct and various student support facilities

available

2. An Induction programme for freshly appointed faculty was

organised to orient them towards ethics and work culture of

St. Ann’s

3. All the departments held orientation for I year students to

acquaint them with highlights of curriculum, teaching

learning process, lab practices and toppers were rewarded.

4. An orientation programme was held for I year students

regarding the coursers offered under cocurricular activities

5. An orientation programme was held for all the students

regarding the coursers offered under UGC sponsored Add on

Career Oriented Certificate Courses

6. Freshers party, intra and intercollegiate literary, cultural and

academic competitions were coordinated

7. Autonomy team from UGC visited the college in August 2014

and college was granted autonomous status in May 2015. 8. IQAC Organised Two day National workshop on

Pedagogy in Transition: Changing Classroom Dynamics in

March 2015. 9. Internal Academic Audit for all the departments, facilities and

administrative office was conducted in April 2015

10. 70 Guest lectures , 22 workshops and training

programmes were held

11. Financial Assistance was provided as seed money for research

projects and incentives for publications , 8 new minor

research projects.

12. In view of Autonomy all the departments had round table

meetings with experts in their respective subjects

13. Extended ICT use in class room teaching, Faculty recharge

programmes, Intra college events, celebration of special days.

14. Extensive participation and paper presentations in academic

events in India and abroad.

15. 30 visits to industry, labs etc., were organised

16. Completely Wi-Fi Campus, six new smart class rooms and

improved audio visual facilities in Auditorium and Seminar

halls.

Certificate courses

The objective

Apart from the regular curricular courses the college offers two-year Certificate

courses, which are of applied nature and help to blend academic pursues with creative

perception, help to imbibe new skills and also to acclimatize the students to the

changing academic and social milieu. The objective is to develop talent creativity and

aesthetic activity, to provide avenues of self-employment.
