UNIT PLAN SUMMARYThis project “PRESERVE EARTH BY PLANTATION“ is based on protection of trees.The primary students learn about the trees, visit to a park or nursery, make publication, banners, posters, paintings and drawings on this topic. Search pictures, videos, stories, games accordingly. Conduct seminar and generate wiki. Students should play roles of painters, researcher, problem solver, environmentalist and social worker.

STANDARDS Use the variety of media and from to communicate

information and ideas effectively to multiple audience, spoken, written, visual language, develops models to explain how object event and processes work in the real world.

Theories plans and carry out experiments and analysis and report conclusion of those experiments. Collect and record data for survey or experiment, organize it. Plan and do things in systematic way.

Students use technology tools to exchange learning and promote creativity, process data and report result. Collaborate publish, and interest with peers, experts and other audience.

Students areas themselves through the project also asses by the teachers through checklist, worksheets etc.

STUDENTS OBJECTIVES

By the end of this project students will be able to:

Work cooperatively in smaller groups. Analysis the importance of plantation. Expose them to the nature.

DAY 1 (40 Minutes)SHOW TEACHER PRESENTATIONExplain them about project through presentation and send publication to their parents. DAY 2 (40 Minutes)DICUSSIONLet them engage in brain storming and discussion about the survey questionnaire. Evaluate them by discussion checklist.

DAY 3 (40 Minutes)SURVEYAsk them to conduct a survey with teacher and evaluate them by Research interview checklist. DAY 4 (3 Hours)VISITVisit a nursery and ask question according to the visit questionnaire. Evaluate them by Research interview checklist.

DAY 5 (40 Minutes)PRACTICLALInvolve them in practical of seed sowing. Teacher demonstrates and let them to follow her according to the research handout. DAY 6 (Full day)SEMINAR DAYInvite parents and nurseryman to the seminar who would share his experience with students and their parents. Evaluate them by Speaking checklist.

 

DAY 7 (40 Minutes)SURVEYEngage them in conducting survey again to find out the impact of the seminar on the society. DAY 8 (240 Minutes 6 Periods)WIKIEngage them in generating wiki through net and share their views with others and ask for comments. Evaluate them wiki and blog checklist.

SOCIAL IMPACT

After this project students fully aware with plantation and they become successful candidates to attend this exam.

BENEFITS OF USING PROJECT APPROACHES, ONGOING ASSESSMENT AND CFQ IN MY UNIT

Students communicate and share their views with others, solve problems of their studies, polish their creativity, enhance their observational skills and intellect, get information about the uses and names of different things and ideas through videos, stories, and games, help and assist each other in making project and solving problems.

They use the tools of internet like searching and surfing different sites.

Students assess their creativity, observation, communication skills, knowledge and thinking powers through check list.

Students plan and do thing in a systematic way.

BENEFITS OF PROJECT By this project students will learn many new things

about the plants and trees. The importance of plants and trees in a society will be

enlightened by this project. Sense of working together in groups and helping

others will develop and will be polished Activities like seminars, checklists, reports, will

develop a lot of interest among the students. Moreover students will come to know many

advantages of trees and will be eager to look after them.

Projects like these really help bringing the hidden talents among the students and give them a nice experience for their lives.

MY GOALS

Increment of social awareness of the students.

Increment of the knowledge about plantation and its importance, of the students.

Development of interest in students through seminars, banners, posters, surveys, visits etc.
