Our Day Camps offer the widest variety of experiences and we have planned a summer of fun for kids going into grades K to 9! Campers are separated by the grade they will be in for the 2016 / 2017 school year:

Day Camps: K - 4th gradeCaravan: 5th & 6th grade Voyagers: Teens / 7th, 8th & 9th grade* *This Camp is offered at “The Club” Teen Center in Lake Hills only. Please check out Teen Programs in this brochure for more information.

Our summer camp counselors are experienced youth development professionals who serve as positive role models for your child. Each camp has counselors trained for the relevant age group and are specifically selected for your kids.

Day Camps: Campers will enjoy a day of fun, educational and engaging activities that are in keeping with the weekly theme. These activities will also incorporate programs under our three Core Pillars: Academic Success, Character and Leadership, and Healthy Lifestyles. We will go on weekly field trips and hear from special guest speakers.

Caravan: Campers will travel daily to different local attractions and parks in the greater Puget Sound area. Perennial favorites include a trip to Pike Place Market, Vasa Park, Bite of Seattle and Kent Cornucopia Days.

Day Camps and Caravan Run From 9:30 AM - 4:00 PMWeekly sessions begin June 20th and run through August 19th.

Cost:Day Camps Sessions 1 - 9 $150 per camper, per weekCaravan Sessions 1 - 9 $175 per camper per week SUNRISE & SUNSET CAMPS Start and finish your camp day with Sunrise and Sunset camp. These camps extend the day for working parents. Activities run during Sunrise and Sunset hours are an extension of our day camp themes.

Cost: Sunrise $25 for 7:30 - 9:30 AM Sunset $25 for 4:00 - 6:00 PMSign Up For Both Sunrise and Sunset for Only $40 per session

REGISTRATION:Summer Camp has a limited number of spaces available, and is on a first come, first serve basis. PLEASE NOTE: Before registration is complete and your child can attend camp:* Current Club membership must be good through the camper’s last day of camp.* All registration must becompleted through the Club’s website at www.bgcbellevue.org. It can be done at the Main Clubhouse or online.

The first session must be paid in full. Additional session(s) require a nonrefundable $25.00 deposit. Camp fees must be paid two weeks before the start of each camp session.

REFUNDS:If you drop a camp session more than 1 week prior to the first day of the session, you will receive a refund minus the nonrefundable deposit. If you drop a session with 7 days or less before the session starts, you may receive a partial refund. The club will charge campers a $10 fee for switching from one camp session to another.

Week 6--Sports Camp August 1st thru August 5th

This unique camp will focus on a different sport each day. The athletes will learn and practice all of

the skills needed to play many games. We will have a special “coach” joining us for the week!

Week 7 - Storytellers (Drama Camp)August 8th thru August 12th

Drama, drama, drama! Our actors will learn about the elements that make up a play, such as,

characters, props and costumes. We will then create and perform our very own play.

Week 8- Rainforest AdventureAugust 15th thru August 19th

Let’s go exploring! Grab your canteen and binoculars and discover all of the animals the rainforest has to offer. We will rain sticks and discover the sounds of the jungle!

Specialty Camp gives your child an opportunity to dive into a particular subject for a whole week. The camps will be offered by Club Staff and/or local experts in the field to provide an engaging week full of fun. The camps will also offer such things as guest speakers, field trips or a special event. Each child will bring home their work to share with you after their week of learning. *Note: Club will be CLOSED on Monday, July 4th. Seattle Storm B-Ball CampAGES 6 - 17

Date: June 21 - 24 Time 9 AM - 4 PMLocation: Hidden Valley FieldhouseJoin the Seattle Storm for a week of basketball fun! Whether your child is new to the game of basketball or a superstar looking to improve their skills, Storm camp is the place to be this summer! Campers will receive instruction from local coaches and players, and participants will be grouped by age and ability to ensure progression of their basketball skills. Each day campers will move through drills for skill devel-opment, and then put their skills to the test through scrimmages and game situations. Reggie Clinton Basketball Development Trainings

Reggie Clinton is from Tri-Cities, Washington. In the past he helped coach youth camps for Bellevue High school, Bellevue College, Seattle Storm, and was the basketball coordinator at the Bellevue Club Academy. He also had the opportunity to train Professional Athlete, Nate Robinson. His training focuses on offensive and defensive aggressiveness, repetition, game speed, practicing outside your comfort zone, and reactions. His goal is to make sure the athlete leaves a practice or training feeling like they got better, had some fun, has more confidence and wants to come back again. AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMGRADES K - 5

Our afterschool education program is known as “Project Learn”, which is a curriculum developed for Boys & Girls Clubs of America by Columbia University. This is an education and recreation focused program for children grades K-5. This program offers tutoring and homework assistance, a computer lab, special events, and social recreation. Members are supervised by professional staff who serve as positive role models, all in a caring, safe place. Our programs all fall under the three basic pillars established by Boys & Girls Clubs of America: academic success, character & leadership, and healthy lifestyles. Just a few of the structured components include:

“Project Learn” Times & LocationsThis program runs through mid-June. The Club is open Mon-Fri, 2:30 - 6:30 PM, with the exception of the early release Wednesdays when Project Learn will open directly after school. Scholarships & payment plans are available.Open enrollment for the 2016 - 2017 school year will begin on Monday, April 25th at 9:00 AM. Main Club will service students from Clyde Hill, Enatai, Medina, Bellevue Christian, Puesta del Sol and Jing Mei Elementary schools. Voyager Travel CampsThe Teen Center will be opening their doors at 7:30 am for the Voyager summer camp program. Teens must be entering 7th, 8th, or 9th grade. Activities include: daily field trips (except Fridays), technology activities, cooking, and more! Voyager will be the only option for teens entering 7th, 8th or 9th grade who need morning care. Field trips will leave right at 9:30 am and return at 4:00 PM. (Campers NEED to arrive by 9 AM).Cost: $175 per week includes, early morning care starting at 7:30 am, and late afternoon care, Club closes at 7 PM (8 PM on Thursday). Ground Zero MusicThis program, one of the most popular at the Teen Center, offers all ages concerts on Friday and Saturday nights as well as specialized music programming throughout the week including guitar, bass and drum lessons, and Band Pool, designed to offer new bands a chance to play at “The Club”. Come to our Music Advisory every Thursday at 5:00 or contact Jason Clackley at [email protected] Summer Drop-InCome join us at The Club Teen Center this summer for our FREE programs being offered! Starting at 12:00 PM, teens are welcome to come participate in activities and field trips being offered here at The Club. The Club Teen Center will be offering lots of summer programs every day. Aside from field trips and specialty programs, we will also have tech programs, recreation programs, art, cooking club, self defense, and more. Teen feed is every Thursday night at 6 PM. BE GREAT! GRADUATE!Addressing the drop-out rate in this country is a national initiative for Boys & Girls Clubs of America. In support of this initiative, the Club’s drop-out prevention program is in our sixth year, working closely with teens in need of academic support to help them reach their full potential as students. With support from Nintendo, the Robert Vasen Foundation and others, we are having amazing results and are continuously working to expand the program. This summer, BE GREAT! TAE KWON DO AGES 5 - ADULT

Tae Kwon Do is a Korean art that emphasizes kicking techniques. It is also an Olympic sport that teaches people to develop the positive aspects of their own personality through respect, courage, self control, confidence and patience.
