In August, we will facilitate 30-minute webinars that will address common issues with the UW System application. The presenters will also respond to participants’ questions about the application and the admission process.
Please pass this information on to next year’s seniors in your spring newsletter or in any other method you see fit.
Our session is offered at eight different dates and times. Students need only sign-up for one webinar.
These sessions were hugely popular last year so registration is required. Students and their families may visit uwhelp.wisconsin.edu/liveline to register.

UW SYSTEM PRECOLLEGE PROGRAM DIRECTORY The Precollege Program Directory at precollege.wlearn.com lists over 300 youth programs offered by the UW System. Topics include art, science, technology, athletics, and more. While most programs are offered in the summer, your students may also find year-round programs.
Internet access is not required to register for Precollege Programs or to apply for the DPI scholarship. UW HELP advisers are available to speak directly with interested parents and students to assist with the Precollege registration process and DPI scholarship application—just call 800-442-6459.
INTRO TO UW WEBINARS Our office has put together a webinar to introduce the UW System to your students. Topics include searching for a college campus, admissions policies for UW campuses, and applying to a UW campus. We can also talk a bit about financial aid and housing.
You can schedule the webinar for whenever is convenient to your students’ schedule. UW HELP staff will appear in real-time for your students, and we will respond to their questions. We estimate the webinars will last 30 to 45 minutes.
All you need to do is provide the physical environment for your students to attend, along with an Internet connection. To inquire about this, please email [email protected] and we will work out the details.
2017 UW SYSTEM FALL WORKSHOPS UW System admissions officers and UW HELP offer high school counselors and other educators free morning workshops annually. These workshops update you with campus information relevant to your students planning to attend a UW System institution. You are invited to attend the workshop location most convenient for you.
Workshop invitations will be mailed in August with more detailed information and registration instructions. Do you know a counselor new to counseling in the state of Wisconsin? Please share these dates and encourage this counselor to contact UW HELP at [email protected] to request to be added to the mailing list.
