Minutes of a regular meeting held in the Rosthern Town Council Chambers onMonday, June 22, 2009 commencing at 10:00 a.m.

Call to Order The meeting was called to order by Mayor Knoll at 10:15 a.m.

1st Avenue & 4th Avenue Paving Tender

228.2009 Helmuth: That Prairie Paving (2006) Inc. of Saskatoon, SK be awarded the 1 st

Avenue and 4th Avenue reconstruction and paving tender for a total bid price of$1,192,040 plus GST.

CARRIED.

Declare a Single Local Improvement229.2009 Janzen: That due to their continuous construction, the following asphalt paving

works be declared a single local improvement:4th Avenue from Highway #312 to 5th Street4th Avenue from 6th Street to 7th Street4th Avenue from 7th Street to 10th Street

Local Improvement Report230.2009 Corbett: That the administrator prepare a report in accordance with Section 6 ofThe Local Improvements Act, 1993 with respect to the proposed local improvementlisted below:

Asphalt paving on 4th Avenue from Highway #312 to 5th Street and 4thAvenue from 6th Street to south of creek,

which has an estimated cost of $1,315,000.00.CARRIED.

Application to Sask. Municipal Board231.2009 Helmuth: That the report prepared by the administrator, with respect to the proposed local improvement listed below, be adopted; that application be made underClause 5(1)(b) of The Local Improvements Act, 1993 to the Saskatchewan MunicipalBoard, Local Government Committee, to undertake this work as a local improvement atan estimated cost of $1,315,000.00:

Asphalt paving on 4th Avenue from Highway #312 to 5th Street and 4thAvenue from 6th

Street to south of creek;and, that the land described above is directly benefited by reason of this localimprovement differently from or greater than that generally received by

landowners in the municipality.CARRIED.

Old Fire Hall (rescinded by 238.2009, July 20, 2009)232.2009 Corbett: That Council exclude the old fire hall building from the agreement with

Carl Driedger, as the Town requires the building for storage.CARRIED.
