Kawaii -Drawing Drinks

This week we are going to be looking at drawing Kawaii Drinks. Follow the steps on the next few pages

to create a Kawaii style drink. Remember to add plenty of colour.

If you have time, try and have a go at drawing some other Kawaii style drinks. You might want to turn

your own drink or drink bottle into a character.

MUSIC – WEEK 5 Tempo!

We are learning about tempo this week. Tempo means how fast or slow the music is playing. There are three key words to know. They are Italian words that we use in music and are...

ALLEGRO (ah-leg-grow) – Fast (Think of running!)

MODERATO (mod-er-ah-tow) – Medium speed (Think of walking normally…)

LARGO (lar-go) – Slowly (Think… of… slow… motion… walking…)

1. Write these words and their meanings into your music book. Make sure you write nice and neatly because we will need to look these up again later this term!

2. On the rollercoaster picture below, choose a speed from our three music words to match each number on the picture, and explain why. There are 3 words for tempo that we have learnt and 6 numbers on the picture, so each word may be needed more than once! For example,

1: Largo

Why: The speed would be largo (slow) because the rollercoaster is going up the hill, ready to zoom down the other side!

WEEK 5 Year 3/4 PE

1. Create your own target game: Evaluation From the target game you created last week, please answer the following questions: 1. How could you change the rules of your game to make it easier? 2. How could you change the rules of your game to make it more challenging? 3. Explain why it is important to change the rules of a game (to make it easier/harder) 4. After completing these questions, would you make any changes to your original game? If so, what would you change? Remember to send your answers to me, Mrs Sherratt. You can either send a photo of your work or write it in a message.

2. Tennis Ball Targets

Equipment required:

🎯 Tennis ball/ any ball you can bounce

🎯 1 x bucket or basket

Instructions:

Game 1

✅ Place a bucket/basket next to a wall

✅ Throw the tennis ball towards the bucket/basket by bouncing the ball onto the ground and then off the wall and into the bucket. Bounce the ball on the ground so it hits the wall and rebounds into the bucket. How many throws did it take before the ball landed in the bucket?

Game 2

✅ Move the bucket into the middle of the playing area. Bounce the ball on the ground and then into the bucket (like our game at school when we used the rubbish bins). The ball can only bounce once.

✅ How many throws did it take before the ball landed in the bucket? Which game was easier, Game 1 or Game 2?

Variations:

💡 Try non-preferred throwing hand

💡 Add different ‘challenges’ such as trick shots or shooting from angles

3. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY CALENDAR: Please continue to fill in your Physical Activity Calendar. We are up to week 5. I have really enjoyed seeing the different types of activities people have been doing at home. Remember to try and do at least 30 mins of physical activity each day. Keep up the great work everyone!!
