descendent of the conquistador Francisco de Montejo, The

Hacienda Temozón produced livestock and maize.

During the second half of the 19th century it was rapidly

transformed into a sisal hacienda by its owner Carlos Peón

Machado. One of the most important in the peninsula, Temozón is

one of the best examples of the prosperity generated by sisal

production.

In this setting, its own style and in harmony with the millenarian

original buildings, their decorations and furnishings, and even the

beautiful pastel blue of their facades.

decade of the XVIth. Century, In 1685 it was looted, just the same

as other ranches, including the proper City of Campeche, by the

corsairs Graff and Grammont. The Uayamón ranch was the

property or Mr. Francisco de Cicero, Colonel and Commander

Officer of the write militia in 1792.

In the XIXth. Century the Hacienda Uayamón was already turned

into a hacienda. It was then sold to José Segundo Carvajal,

Colonel of the engineers and commander of his forces.

At the beginning of the 60´s of thet century, it passed on to the hands of Mr. Rafael

Carvajal Iturralde. Uayamón, example of an age of richness and refinement, shines again

as a colonial jewel of Campeche.

Its impressive swimming pool is perfect to sunbathe, relax and refresh in the middle of

nature. Enjoy a treatment in our exclusive Spa, located in the historical ruins of an ancient

buiding of the Hacienda.

occupied by cattle ranches, since the land was not fit for

agriculture.

During the last quarter of the 19th century Haciendas exploited

dye wood, and in the beginning of the 20th sisal began to be

cultivated on a large scale. Santa Rosa, the property of the Garc¡a

Fajardo brothers, was transformed with the addition of appropriate

buildings, and its chimney still bears the legend H.F.G 1901.

One of the most prominent features of Hacienda Sante Rosa is the

beautiful botanical garden, where an airy palapa, invites you to

combine nature and health with the large range of treatments at

our Spa.

city of Campeche, in downtown in front of Puerta de Tierra.

Its construction evoques the representative architecture of XIX

century in houses and establishments. In 1870 Don Eligio

Guerrero Quero established one of the most important stores in

the city named El Bronce. Now this building is part of the Hotel

and was restored keeping the charm of its historical motifs.
