Goodbye and Good Luck to the class of 2015Before the girls begin their study leave and examinations, and face the adventures of life beyond school, it is only fitting to bid farewell to them in traditional NGHS fashion. This provides the girls with an opportunity to wish each other well and say their goodbyes. You can go to this link for the leaving video for Y11 and Y13: https://youtu.be/AQ_qV3wqjfU and we hope you enjoy looking through the many photographs taken at the various leavers’ events.

Leavers’ receptionOur Year 13 leavers and their parents joined us in the Senior Hall for a farewell BBQ and to reflect on their years at NGHS before their last day. Girls, their parents and staff enjoyed having a look at the photographs tracing their history through their years with us, and chatting about their progress and their hopes for the future. Everybody tucked

into the lovely food and drinks provided by the Catering department on this wonderfully fun and informal occasion. I’m sure you will all agree that this relaxed celebration of achievement was a fitting and enjoyable way to culminate the school year.

The last day!

Leaving the crime scene, the girls then headed to the Dining Hall for some restorative breakfast before group photographs on the courts.

The final assembly was as ever, a mixture of laughter at shared memories and the staff video, and tears at the realisation of what they were leaving behind.

Good bye and good luck in your exams Year 13, and best wishes for whatever the future holds.

The girls’ last day at school is always memorable, colourful and lots of fun for Year 13 and spectators alike. This year it was something of an emergency - sirens blaring, lights flashing and Arboretum Street crawling with cops, robbers, fire and rescue folk and a whole array of interesting props!

Passing drivers and girls from younger year groups stopped at the real life traffic lights, negotiated the human road cones, evaded the speed cameras and if they were lucky, escaped a soaking by the fire extinguisher.

The costumes were brilliant, spirits were high and the whole thing was a lot of fun.
