SOX THE CATIN…

MY TRIP TO YELLOW RIVER- OR -

THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME

Page 2: SOX THE CAT IN…

When I heard people say that Tim got a new car, I figured that my ride down

would be really comfortable. It wasn’t.

Page 3: SOX THE CAT IN…

Once we got to the campsite, Tim accepted that I was there and let me pick the music and have some

apple juice. At least he said it was juice.

Page 4: SOX THE CAT IN…

Tim even let me help out as he set up his tent.

Page 5: SOX THE CAT IN…

I think he had too much juice, because he missed the stake…a

couple of times.

Page 6: SOX THE CAT IN…

When the tent was up, I wandered around the campgrounds. There

was a bridge nearby…

Page 7: SOX THE CAT IN…

…and while the view was really nice…

Page 8: SOX THE CAT IN…

…I didn’t enjoy bungee jumping as much as Tim thought I would.

Page 9: SOX THE CAT IN…

I did like climbing the tree he called ‘Mory’ (even though it smelled way different than the

Mory in the office does).

Page 10: SOX THE CAT IN…

I also liked climbing other nearby trees. It was way more fun that hanging out on

top of the filing cabinets.

Page 11: SOX THE CAT IN…

While there were things I liked a lot about the campsite, the litter box was not one of them. I

think multiple cats used this thing.

Page 12: SOX THE CAT IN…

On the second morning, some of Tim’s friends made breakfast. Mmm…that bacon smells good. I’m gonna get a little closer.

Page 13: SOX THE CAT IN…

Ow. A little too close.

Page 14: SOX THE CAT IN…

Later that day, some people decided to play badminton and

invited me to join in.

Page 15: SOX THE CAT IN…

I wasn’t very good, though, and kept hitting the birdie at the

ground.

Page 16: SOX THE CAT IN…

This seemed to upset the other players.

Page 17: SOX THE CAT IN…

A lot.

Page 18: SOX THE CAT IN…

A whole lot.

Page 19: SOX THE CAT IN…

A couple of days later, Tim said he’d let me try some beer if I got in the creek with him. Mr.

Roush always speaks highly of beer, so I thought it’d be worth it.

Page 20: SOX THE CAT IN…

Everything was a ‘go’ for my first trip into the water.

Page 21: SOX THE CAT IN…
Page 22: SOX THE CAT IN…

The creek turned out to be very cold…

Page 23: SOX THE CAT IN…

… and icky.

Page 24: SOX THE CAT IN…

Tim made good on his promise, though, and shared a 40oz beer

with me.

Page 25: SOX THE CAT IN…

I may have had too much.

Page 26: SOX THE CAT IN…

After my beer nap, Tim wrung me out and put me out in the sun to

dry.

Page 27: SOX THE CAT IN…

That afternoon, a dog came by. I thought we’d be friends.

Page 28: SOX THE CAT IN…

The dog had other plans.

Page 29: SOX THE CAT IN…

I was still not very dry by that evening, so I hung out by the fire. Mmm…the fire is nice and warm. I think I’ll get a little bit closer.

Page 30: SOX THE CAT IN…

Ow. A little too close.

Page 31: SOX THE CAT IN…

All in all, I was happy to leave Yellow River and return to civilization. Tim said that before

I came back to Supervalu, I’d have to take a bath or two.

Page 32: SOX THE CAT IN…

But after a few trips through the washer, I’m fresh as a daisy and ready to return to work.

Can’t wait to see you all there.
