Lee County Port Authority

The Lee County Port Authority (LCPA) operates both Southwest Florida International Airport and Page Field in Fort Myers, Florida

The LCPA operates as an enterprise fund with revenue generated from airport operations

No ad valorem (property) tax dollars support the airport operations or construction

Sources of revenue include the rents and fees from our tenants, passenger facility charges (PFC), and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) grants

The terminal opened on September 9, 2005. The complex is 798,000 sq. ft and includes 28 gates with expansion to 65 gates This facility cost $438 million and was paid for by revenues from our tenants and grants from

federal and state resources. It was the largest public works project in Lee County history.

RSW is responsible for ensuring the infrastructure and air service to meet the air transportation needs of the local five county area:

Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry and Lee
