• Greet students each morning as they arrive and on the announcements: Words of Wisdom and Character Counts

• Consistently strive to keep the staff and students motivated and excited about learning : Achievement goals and rewards, acknowledgements, Awards Ceremony

• Consistently strive to keep the school environment conductive to learning: well maintained, grounds clean, marquee current, walls painted, pressure cleaning, carpets cleaned, suspended activity on campus to complete maintenance, additional computer lab built

than delivering a consequence• Less than one referral per school day• 32 referrals in the 12th week of school

• Suspensions Down• Zero in school suspensions• Only three students derive the total suspensions (TF, BA, PA)


Literacy First

• DA and Leadership Team identified SBI and Lesson Execution as an area of need

• Summer Work: Lesson Planning for first 9 weeks in ELA, Math, Sci using the Literacy First research based Anatomy of a Lesson and Academic Learning Time (SBI).

• Year Long Work during weekly Team Planning Sessions: • 4.5 weeks vetting lesson plans • 4.5 weeks creating lesson plans for the 2nd 9 weeks• Research Based Instructional Practices/Best Practices• Instructional Shifts

• Professional Development: 8 Literacy First Training Days and 8 LF Coaching Days focused on SBI and rigorous RBIP. Three total years of training for K-5.

• Data Driven Instruction: LF PA, PH, FL, Comp, Unifiy, Standards Mastery
