DESCRIPTION

Its my first time in South Africa. When I was Still in the plane I have seen very big savannas. I’ve seen some very rich houses and some Were very poor. The poor houses were made Out of mud and hay. The poor houses were By savannas and they had small farming. When I got to the city of Cape Town the city Wasn't very poor as the villages in the savannas. When I walked out of the airport I’ve seen a lot Of busy streets. I saw people rushing with their cars and a lot of people going to places And to work. This was a great day in Cape Town.

Greetings from South Africa, molo, that’s how to say hi in Xhosa. That is a langue used in South Africa a lot. In this country you will need to know at least Xhosa, Afrikaans, English, and Zulu. The British influenced English because they indirectly ruled south Africa. The old tribes in that area influenced the other languages. South Africans have many things they do for fun. Such as beadwork which is used on jewelry and has many different colors. Other things you might see people doing is pottery, which is usually done outside, and jazz, which South Africans are famous for using instruments or anything that makes noise. Many varieties of foods are eaten there and hunting is a common way of getting the food.

Today in South Africa the government lets anyone over the age of 18 vote. Bills passed in the national assembly must be referred to the NCOP for consideration. Before the apartheid said that all whites were allowed to do the most things like voting, second were the Indians who had some rights, than colored people who had a few and lastly blacks who had very few rights. And because of the Apartheid whites still have higher paying jobs and colored have lower. Main Natural resources are Diamonds, gold, coal, uranium, copper, platinum, chrome and Iron ore. Great Britain ruled them before their independence. They got independence in 1996 and the bill of rights guarantees religious freedom, health care, property and self expression.
