There was once a learned scientist in India. He was always
afraid of death. After a lot of practice
and efforts, he developed a formula and learnt the art of
reproducing himself. He did it so
perfectly that it was impossible to identify the reproduction
from the original.
One day while doing his research, he found that the Angel of
Death was searching for him. In
order to remain immortal he reproduced a dozen exact copies of
himself. The reproduction was
so meticulous that all of them looked exactly like him. Now when
this Angel of death came
down, he was at a loss to know which of the thirteen before him
was the original scientist, and
confused, he left them all alone and returned back to
heaven.
But, not for long, for being an expert in human nature, the
Angel came up with a clever idea. He
said to the scientist addressing all thirteen of them, "Sir, you
must be a genius to have
succeeded in making such perfect reproduction formula of
yourself. However, I have
discovered a flaw in your work, just one tiny little flaw."
The scientist immediately jumped out and shouted, "Impossible!
Where is the flaw?" "Right
here" said the Angel, as he picked up the scientist from among
the reproductions and carried
him off.
The whole purpose of the scientist and his formula of
reproduction failed as he could not
control his ego & pride and hence lost his life.
Now, Let us ponder on some of our ego too?
Do I have it?
What is it about?
Why do I have it?
What purpose does it solve?
Whom does or will it affect?
What consequence can it have within your
organization/team/colleagues?
What consequence can it have within your family and its
members?
How will your relationship get affected because of it?
Do I know people or situations or events where people have
fallen because of their ego? What
can I learn from it?
How can I overcome it?
What do I need to do to "Let go TheEgo"?

I sometimes ponder over the possibility of having a remedy for
ego in the form of medical pills.
Just like we have pills for headache or stomach ache, similarly
if we had ego pills which would
have us ego freeWow. A cure pill for ego or an ego free world .
Our world would be so
differentno wars....no hatred a perfect world.
The true meaning of ego is the sense of your individuality- the
I or self of any person; athinking, feeling, and conscious being,
able to distinguish itself from other selves however
people understand ego as exaggerated sense of
self-importance.
Humans are the most advanced forms of life species on this
planet as they are the most
intelligent beings compared to animals or any other life forms
on Earth. What is the difference
between humans & animals? Why are humans superior? I believe
it is the thought process or
the thinking ability of humans which has an intelligence
quotient to it. However I get surprised
by the behavior of humans sometimesOn one hand we say that
humans are the most
intelligent life forms on earth and on the other hand, humans do
the most stupid things.
They have huge inflated egos displaying the Isyndrome however
they know very little about
their own selves. If you ask the majority of the people and ask
these questions, very few people
know the right answers
What is your favorite color? What type of person you are? Which
is your best movie? Which
one is your favorite song? What do you want in life? Plan for
next 2 years and so on.
People do not accept realities & live in their own world of
fantasies as their egos do not permit
them to accept the real world
Why did someone say this to me? How can he say this to me? All
these questions are the
ignition or spark to ego creation
Meis very important but we should not get carried awayIn my view
ego should never be so
high that you have excess pride nor should be very low that you
do not have any self-esteem.
it should be like saltneither high nor lowjust perfect for the
right taste..
Day & NightMale & Female..Air & Water. Fire &
Wind what is common between these
elementsBalance.......
Balance creates life and imbalance destroys it.Choice is
yourswhat do you want?
