Sonia Sotomayor is a Latina from Puerto-Rican origin

Sonia was raised in the NYC borough of The Bronx
Her father did not speak English
Sonia was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at age 8
The next year her father passed away
"I realized that the judge was the most important player in that room," Sonia said.

Graduated from Princeton University and then Yale Law School.
Famous for ending the baseball strike in 1995
