Blow molding, filling and capping in a single systemThe original decision to invest in the Sidel Combi was the first time that Jugos del Valle had opted for such an integrated system. The high-performance solution combines blow molding, filling and capping in a single integrated system and is suitable for all liquids packaged in PET. By eliminating conveying, empty bottle handling, accumulation and storage, these compact and ergonomic machines optimise the bottling line layout and improve overall production reliability. Reducing the number of machines in any line, they result in a smaller overall equipment footprint.

A solution offering increased efficiency, reliability and performanceAlong with optimized processes and high speeds, risk-free production was of the utmost importance to Jugos del Valle. The choice of filling technology was strongly influenced by the intrinsic properties of the beverages, which require special care to ensure total safety and product integrity. Of course, the transition from standalone lines to the new Sidel Combi systems required training to enable Jugos del Valle’s operators to achieve optimum production. However Sñr.Malagón insists that increased efficiency, reliability and performance make it all worthwhile. "A solution like this helps us reduce costs," he says. "We no longer have to deal with transportation costs for the bottle, because now it arrives without being transformed. This also allows us to make it slightly thinner, which helps reduce costs even more." To maintain optimal inventory levels, both lines are running all week long. Sidel was also able to help Jugos del Valle master the complexities typically associated with hot-fill production, such as the collapsing of packages and to define the most-adapted bottle process possible. "Sidel has become our business partner, bringing us experience, knowledge and technical expertise, therefore making the whole process a lot smoother," concluded Alejandro Malagón.
