THANK YOU
The family of Bill Duty wishes to express their gratitude for the hospitality of Solomon Lutheran Church. Your generous, warm hospitality allowed the Celebration of Life Service to be what he wanted—the sermon delivered by Bill’s brother-in-law, the Reverend Steven Scott; the hymns Bill chose; trumpet accompaniment to the hymns by Susan Sandrock; participation in the service by Bill’s former interns, The Reverend Rich Genzman and the Reverend Ted Kerr; and the very lovely reception after the service by the Women of the Church and other kind volunteers. We were very grateful to Sarah Rewoldt for her competent, professional, compassionate assistance in creating the bulletin and in providing direction and answers to many questions. Finally, thank you to those of you who took the time to stand in long lines and share stories of how Bill had shared in your journey. He loved his work and his people. Thank you, Diane Duty
Dear Women of Solomon,
Thank you for serving cookies, punch, and
coffee for the reception in memory of Pastor
Bill Duty. Our family appreciated it so much.
The decorations looked so nice on the tables
and the cookies and punch were delicious. It
gave the Duty and Scott family a time to
share memories and visit with the people of
Solomon.
We were so thankful that Bill Duty was your
Pastor and could be close to the Duty family
for 26 years.
Thanks again to all of the women who helped
and to the men who set up and cleaned up.
Sincerely,
Gayle and Sandy Duty
