Mechanical Engineering specializing in renewable energy. He was also a major

contributor in research on energy conservation and renewable energy at Rutgers

University in New Jersey.

Solar Optimum Joins TRK Development and Clean

L.A. Solar Program to Provide Clean Energy

L.A. City Councilman Mitchell Englander to visit site and

welcome the latest addition to L.A.’s growing green

economy.

LOS ANGELES (February 6, 2014) – TRK Development,

a national commercial real estate development

company, has completed its first rooftop solar project on

one of its warehouses in the Los Angeles neighborhood

of Chatsworth. Local contractors, including Solar

Optimum of Glendale, helped to build the 500KW

system on the company’s 94,000 square-foot

warehouse. Generating over one million kilowatt hours of

renewable power each year, the project is part of the Los

Angeles Department of Water and Power’s feed-in-tariff

program. L.A.’s feed-in tariff (FiT), also known as

CLEAN LA Solar, is a groundbreaking energy program

that allows commercial property owners in L.A. to take

advantage of underutilized rooftop space by generating

energy through solar panels and selling it to the DWP at

a competitive fixed rate. The result is zero carbon,

renewable energy that also supports jobs and fuels

private investment.
