Treasure Your Health - an interactive breast health awareness exhibit
Special Olympics Delaware is once again proud to team up with
Komen-Philadelphia and Practice Without Pressure for
“Treasure your Health,” a special pink-tent event being held
as part of the Healthy Athletes program.
Developed by Practice Without Pressure, the “Treasure YourHealth” program provides adults with disabilities and their
caregivers breast care and cancer prevention information in a
fun, interactive format that rewards participants with prizes as
well as positive life lessons.
PWP staff will be on hand to guide athletes through each activity
and to answer any questions that may arise from the table-top
exhibits.
Plan on joining us for one or both inspiring fun-filled days of
competition, breast cancer empowerment… and a wonderful
experience of challenges being conquered with will, confidence
and determination.

All around the world, Special Olympics has a formidable and caring legion ofprotectors and supporters: the law enforcement community.
30
For 25 years Delaware Law Enforcement has hit thepavement in support of the athletes who train and competein Special Olympics. Through their signature event - the LawEnforcement Torch Run - which has evolved into a three-county, 160-mile relay-run across the state, law enforcementhas opened the doors of understanding and acceptancewhile raising more than $3.3 million dollars to fuel SpecialOlympics’ growth and quality programming.

DELAWARE LAW ENFORCEMENT TORCH RUN
2011 TORCH RUNNER
Randall W. LeeDeputy State Fire Marshal
Deputy State Fire Marshal Randall W. Lee is a 27-year veteran of
Delaware law enforcement. He has served the last nine years as the
Chief Deputy Fire Marshal in Sussex County (Operations
Division). Fire Marshall Lee first became involved with Special
Olympics in 1995 when he participated in the Lewes Polar Bear
Plunge. The weather that year was the coldest on record with wind
gusts at -20 degrees below zero.
Fire Marshal Lee became involved in the Law Enforcement Torch
Run for Special Olympics in the late 1990’s as a Torch Runner.
Since that time, Randy has continued to increase his volunteer
efforts for the Torch Run and Special Olympics Delaware (SODE).
In addition, he continues to actively recruit and encourage other
police officers to join in the year-round fund-raising and volunteer
efforts of Delaware Law Enforcement for Special Olympics
(LESO).
Fire Marshal Lee has served as the Western Sussex Leg Coordinator for Delaware’s Torch Run for the
past nine years.
Fire Marshal Lee is the consummate “team player”
and Torch Run leader. He has served Delaware’s
Torch Run and Special Olympics movements
tirelessly, and enthusiastically, over the last 15 years.
Fire Marshal Lee truly epitomizes the typical
“unsung hero” in Delaware’s Torch Run movement,
volunteering countless hours to help raise funds and
enhance public awareness on behalf of the Torch Run
and Special Olympics.
As the 2011 Delaware Torch Runner of the year, Fire
Marshal Lee will have the unique honor and privilege
of delivering the “Flame of Hope,” on behalf of all
Delaware law enforcement, to the 2010 SODE
Athlete of Year, Michael Bowe, for the lighting of the
cauldron at the conclusion of the SODE Summer
Games Opening Ceremonies on Friday, June 10 at
the University of Delaware in Newark. Deputy State Fire Marshal Randall Lee (left) is presentedwith the 2011 Torch Runner of the Year award by

Here is a man on a mission to weight-lift over 400 pounds. Watch out when Forrie Brown drops these weights, the whole stage will bounce!
But that IS OK - SODE and Coach Hank has shown Forrie to make it look like all this weight is a cake walk - for the LOVE of WEIGHTLIFTING with the best.
Congratulations and good luck at Summer Games,
