Review
The global grid is made up of intersecting lines. This grid gives each place on
planet Earth its own unique address, distinguished by
coordinates.
ie. 40ºN, 60ºW
Latitude lines measure distance North and South of the Equator
Latitude Lines measure distance north and south of the Equator
Longitude lines measure distance East and West of the
Prime Meridian
Longitude Lines measure distance east and west of the Prime Meridian
Earth is tilted on its axis causing the seasons
The seasons are opposite in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres
Geography is the study of Earth and
how people interact with the physical
world.

A political map offers very different information than a physical map.
Weather are the conditions that exist
outside (rain, temperature, etc.) over a
short period of time.
Climate are the conditions that exist
outside (rain, temperature, etc.) over a
long period of time.
When looking at graphs be sure to look at ALL information first.
