Job description - Assist in the development and delivery of OAC’s social media strategy, ensuring a consistent message is shared with supporters - Support CEO in checking and maintaining OAC’s accounts across social media platforms, posting updates where appropriate - Create high quality, sensitive content to share online, such as videos and case studies, in order to raise awareness of harmful practices tackled by OAC - Photo editing of images from our projects

SUMMARY

Role: Part-time Social Media Communications Coordinator (freelance – 22.5 hours per week/approximately 3 days per week)

Job description

- Manage audio and video uploads and channels

- Contribute to the development of new online resources and projects

- Help grow social media networks and audiences

- Maintain a proactive approach to communications on social media accounts

- Stay informed of upcoming trends and developments within the field of social media

- Work with the CEO to develop and implement a social media influencer strategy

- Research and solicit potential influencers

- Develop and manage relationships with influencers

- Develop a group of highly committed influencers

- Co-ordinate and approve all contact with influencers

- Liaise directly with influencers, negotiating as appropriate the terms of involvement of the influencer and the parameters of their support

- Manage the content of influencers, ensuring that their messaging is consistent with OAC’s

- Keep the CEO informed of significant problems that might jeopardise the wellbeing of the organisation

- Attend regular meetings as required

Personal specification Essential

Self-starting, hardworking and committed to tackling FGM/HBA and forced marriage Strong knowledge/expertise in FGM/HBA and forced marriage Strong track record of raising awareness of a social issue, preferably online A strong understanding of the social media space and highly competent on all social

media platforms Experience of planning and implementing social media strategies and/or online

campaigns Ability to create high quality, sensitive content using various forms of media (photos,

videos, audio) Ability to engage/interact with an audience An eye for design and aesthetic Excellent writing skills Understanding and executing Search Engine Optimisation concepts

Desirable

Strong track record of retaining and growing popularity Good business and financial acumen Ability to predict trends as well as acknowledge them Excellent public speaking skills
