A highly structured pre generatedquestionnaire was used forcollecting the detailed informationfrom the two villages named asDapada and Pati.

The sample size includes each andevery house of the village and thequestions are asked to the head ofthe family as they represent theirfamily.

Social Mapping
A social-economic survey is done so as to find outthe standard of living of the villagers.
In addition to that a pre-generated questionnaireprepared by Vanarai Foundation, Pune.
Hence the social mapping task helps the companiescollaborated with Vanarai Foundation in makingvillages self reliant without depending on the Govt.funding by involving the local people.

Lifebuoy Swastya Chetna is a ruralhealth and hygine initiative whichwas started in 2002.
The objective of spreadingawareness about the importance ofwashing hands with soap.

LBSC is a multi-phased activity, It demonstratesthat visible clean is not always clean therebyimproving the importance of washing hands withsoap.
It targets children as they are in the harbingers ofchange in the society and mothers. Since they arethe custodians of health.
AGlo-germ demonstration is a unique tool tomake unseen germs visible and emphasize the
need to use soap to wash hands and kill germs.
