    Search and Rescue

    What is Search and Rescue:

Search and Rescue has several core values: Bravery, Preparedness,

Service and above all - Dedication.

We go where other people cannot and/or would be slower to get to,

With S&R you are responisble to get patients to safety and transport

them to the hospital or airfield where an ambulance is waiting to bring

them back to the hospital. This includes rescue operations in various

situations like in water or in the middle of a highway.

So you will always need to be prepared for the worst case situation.

    System Check

    Pre-flight Checklist:

You need to buy the following things:

    Rebreather

    Flight suit

    Flight helmet

    Radio

    Nightvision Goggles

    Medkit

    First Aid Kit

When you get in the heli:

You MUST have a copilot. Without one you can not fly.You set your long range radio frequency channel 1 to 57.7.

Your channel 2 should be set to the SO frequency, if possible.

Your channel 3 should be set to the CO frequency, if possible.

    Put the collision lights on.

Start the engine and wait for it to get to maximum thrust. Before you take

off, call in to dispatch that you are Air One and what your destination is, or

that you are going on patrol.

For example: This is Air One, I am 10-2 to 911 call at the prison. or This

is Air One, headed to FD to pick up copilot.

    Flying

    Flying air one:

There are a few rules you need to be aware off,

    1. If you fly in the city perimators your altitude needs to be 200m

    2. Outside of the city on land atleast 80 - 100 m

    3. on water at least 30m

Dont fly harder than 200 kmh because if your flying to hard and you need

to lose speed you are getting to high.

    Landing zones:

    Inside Lakeside:

    Helicopter platform at hospital

    Helicopter platform at firestation

    Inside Morrison town:

On the platform of the fire station

Or next to the fire station

    Outside of lakeside:

always try to land on a field not on the road if there is no otherway you put

your copilot or medic on the ground and you gain altitude or the SO needs

to shut off the road. Refeuling can be done at the Northen Airfield.

    Transport

On the moment cse is gone but we still need to bring our patients back

to the hospital, for furder threatment,

when a victem is entering your heli, make sure the engine is off or that he

is crouching if the engine is on.

If air one is available you can respawn on a call to a critical injurd person

where already a ambo is but the fastest way back to the hospital is in the

    air.

always take the shortist way back to the hospital and reqeust a ems to the

platform of the hospital waiting for you to get there

when you arived on scene and you both get out always lock your heli!!!
