Hazel Beckmann (neé Jenkins) (1964) [email protected] Hazel popped in to visit on 1 November and she had a little tour of the School. She is currently living in California. Hazel hopes 1964-ers will make contact with her. Sam Linsell (1986) Sam is a professional food stylist, recipe developer and food photographer. She is one of the top influences in the country with the largest number of followers on her food blog, Drizzle and Dip. Sam has written two cookbooks. The first was her self-published book, Drizzle and Dip, and her latest one, Sweet, published in 2015 by Penguin Random House is now on sale.

Robert McGaffin (1989) Robert is a member of UCT’s Nedbank Urban Real Estate Research Unit and is the co-author of a paper on Cape Town’s affordable housing challenges.

Simon Hareb (1997) Simon recently competed in the 2016 Mixed Martial Arts ISKA US Open World Championships held in New York. He received a third place in the points-fighting and a gold in the clash-sparring. Team South Africa did well and was noted as the team to beat!

Zahid Badroodien (2008) Zahid is the Chair of the Junior Doctors Association of SA (JUDASA) and was quoted in the Argus 4 November 2016 concerning medical intern cuts. Daniel Richards (2009) Daniel in his own words “...I love variety...”He has kept himself busy performing Pay Back the Curry and in Britten’s Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra. Daniel is a baritone, has his own company, DMR Productions, writes, sings and dances.

Olin-Shae de la Cruz (2012) [email protected] Olin-Shae is a finalist for the title and crown of the Miss South Africa pageant, to be held in March at Sun City. This winter she braved the cold weather of Cape Town and served soup and pasta to the homeless and met up with Danny Oosthuizen (in the photo) who is a Cape Argus journalist. “We need to understand that beauty and fashion are not all that Miss SA is about. It is days filled with hard work.”

Obituaries Hazel Beckmann (1964) told us of Roland Clarke’s (1964) passing away. Our condolences to his family and friends. Sandile Ikemefuna (2014) Sandile passed away in November 2016. Our sympathies and best wishes go to his family and friends.
