• 54-Month Schedule

• Scheduled completion date: June 31, 2018 o With BOC approval, completion

date could change to accommodate schedule delays

• Largest project in DeKalb County history

•Upgrading and expanding the Snapfinger Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant (AWTP) for the purpose of:

o Increasing wastewater treatment capacity

o Continued compliance with both state and federal water quality guidelines mandated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Environmental Protection Division (EPD)

•Will help reduce the current level of noise, odor and light produced by the plant in the surrounding community

• Project is 24% complete as April 2017

•Major Milestones: o Completion of Soil-Nail-Wall

o 70% of Mass Grading and Rock Removal

o 60% of Concrete Foundations for Membrane Building (MBR) and Aeration Tanks

o Demolition of Existing Final Clarifier No. 12B

o 25% of Solids Dewatering Building

o 50% of major underground piping

• Rock fracturing using controlled blasts: June-August 2017 (weather permitting)

• 25-30 total blasts

• 3 blasts per week, maximum

• 50% to 70% smaller than previous

• Controlled, matted, trench blasts

• Total of 21 seismographic monitors in and around the site
