AUTOMATIC FLASH POINT TESTER Is the latest addition to the Grabner Instruments line of portable flashpoint testers, and combines all of the field-proven advantages of the MINIFLASH tester line with a new convenient touchscreen design. The touch-screen runs on a Microsoft® Windows® platform.

WATER CONTENT KF Karl Fischer titration is simply a means to measure water content of samples. Modern instruments, such as the Aquamax KF, use the coulometric principle, whereby thCTe water present in the sample is coulometrically titrated to a predefined end point at which there is a minute excess of free iodine present.

Incorporating the Grabner triple expansion method, the US EPA reference method for the determination of vapor pressure in the USA, the instrument is designed for significantly improved precision, reliability and performance.

Bitumen & Asphalt

ASPHALT PAVEMENT THERMAL TESTING SYSTEM (TSRST) The Thermal Stress Restrained Specimen Test (TSRST) is used to determine the low temperature cracking susceptibility of asphalt concrete.

ASPHALT ROLLING THIN FILM OVEN The Superpave PG binder specification looked for tests which would closely simulate field performance. Hotmix asphalt binder experiences significant aging during the manufacturing and laying process.

COOPER-VIALIT COHESION PENDULUM Vialit Cohesion Pendulum by Cooper CRT-VCP is a testing device to analyse the cohesion of bitumen in road construction. The cohesion is one of the measures of the performance of a bituminous binder. It is important to use binders which have a sufficient level of cohesion according to the level of traffic to be supported.

DUCTILITY TESTING MACHINE The TAS-0400 Ductility Testing Machine is used to determine the ductility of bituminous materials in a briquette mould by measuring the breaking elongation at a constant speed of 50 mm/min. It is designed for testing 3 specimens simultaneously. The Internal tank is made of stainless steel. The bath is fitted with an immersion heater in order to obtain (in normal conditions), the 25°C test temperature.








CENTRIFUGE EXTRACTOR Centrifuge Extractor is used for the quantitative determination of bitumen in hot-mixed asphalt mixtures and pavement samples. The Reflux centrifuges are used for the determination of bitumen percentage in bituminous mixtures. All models comprise a removable precision-machined rotor bowl housed in a cylindrical aluminium box.

SOFTENING POINT RING & BALL APPARATUS The TAS-0130 Ring and Ball Test Set is used for determining the softening point of bituminous materials by ring and ball method. The apparatus is supplied complete with a Hot Plate with Magnetic Stirring System, Ring Holder and Assembly, 2 x Ball Centering Guides, 2 x 9.5 mm dia.

SATURATED AGEING TENSILE STIFFNESS (SATS) TEST The Saturated Ageing Tensile Stiffness (SATS) test was developed by Professor Andrew Collop and co-workers of University of Nottingham in the early part of this decade. The test is a combined ageing/moisture sensitivity test to evaluate the performance of macadam coated binder course and base mixtures.

CORE AND BEAM SAWS Cooper Technology has developed easy-to-use sawing systems for fast, accurate cutting of beams for asphalt prisms (prepared in Cooper Technology’s Roller Compactors – small and large models) to be used for Four Point Bending Beam Testing in CRT-SA4PT-BB and CRT-LH4PT-BB, for Two Point Bending Beam testing in CRT-2PT, and cutting & dressing round cores and large & small wheel tracked slabs.

AUTOMATIC CONCRETE COMPRESSION MACHINE Automatic range of compression testing machines have been designed for reliable and consistent testing of a wide range of specimens. These compression testers are the results of continuous research to upgrade the testing machines with the latest technologies to conform to the latest standards EN 12390-3, EN 12390- 4, BS 1881 and ASTM C39 in terms of its technical properties taking into account client requirements.

DIRECT SHEAR TESTING MACHINE The tests performed using Direct Shear Test Machine covers the determination of consolidated drained shear strength of a soil material in direct shear. TS-2060 Automatic Direct / Residual Shear Test Machine is motorised and floor mounted. Supplied with carriage assembly load hanger and integral 9:1, 10:1 and 11:1 lever loading device as standard.

AUTOMATIC CEMENT COMPRESSION TESTING MACHINES The automatic range of single testing chamber and double testing chamber compression and flexure testing machines have been designed for reliable and consistent testing of mortar samples.

SIEVE SHAKERS Electromagnetic Digital Sieve Shaker performs a vertical sieving motion and by removing the upper plate it can also be used as a vibrating table for one concrete specimen. The vertical sieving motion is provided by a very effective electromagnetic unit which is designed to obtain the best results with sand and aggregates. Supplied complete with timer.

DRAGER DETECTION TUBES The hazardous substances in the air are collected using a suitable medium – such as activated carbon, silica gel, or molecular sieves. The sample is then analyzed in a laboratory with the aid of instrumental analysis.

GAS DETECTORS Single gas detector offering real-time readings and extended longevity. Single gas detection. H2S, CO, O2, SO2 with 2 year model. H2S, CO with 3 year model. Direct, real-time readings on large LCD. Requires no calibration, sensor replacement, battery replacement or battery charging.

BUFFER SOLUTIONS This high temperature surface probe is part of a wide range of temperature instrumentation from ETI. It can be used for applications such as measuring the temperature of griddles, hotplates and any other activity which requires a high temperature measurement range.

FULL FACE MASK (POLYCARBONATE) Drager X-plore 6530 with Drager’s Rd40 standard connection filter range to cover a massive range of toxic gases, vapours and particles. Additional features of the mask include a distortion-free visor and an integrated ventilation system.
