The following is a sequential description of a spawning survey of Redwood Creek performed on 12/29/98 by Joshua Seney. The section surveyed was the main stem between Minor and Beaver creeks; it is a low gradient reach historically favored by spawning salmon. Survey conditions were ideal; the creek was low and clear following strong early flows. *Two large redds below the county bridge. *Two unknown redds 100 yards downstream. *Large female king on redd in a braid 75 yards above Moon creek. *Three female kings and one male king on three huge redds in braid below moon creek and above the Wade's house. Note: The salmon were particularly using braids in the creek for spawning.
