Electronic field unit

• Microprocessor board with 16Kb flash eprom memory, 1KbRAM, WDT, RTC.• GSM engine on board, dual band (900/1800 Mhz)• Capability to read pulse signal from the water meter (e.g. 1 pulse each 100 lt. or other)• GSM activation according to the activation slot as programmed by the control center

(every day, selected days in the week.• Alarm/state SMS messages in case of abnormal situation detection (vandalism, faulty

etc).• Compact size waterproof enclosure IP67, suitable for wall mount installation (or for other

solution like pole installation) and for outside environmental conditions.

Management control center - 1

• Receives the status of each meter of the network via SMS message

• SMS messages are sent by the field unit according to the calendar received by the management center– GSM modem daily activation period– Weekly calendar of activation days

• Management of consumption thresholds over different periods. The overcoming of the threshold generate a SMS message indicating the abnormal situation (e.g. generated by a leak in the pipes, flooding situation etc.)

Woltmann Water Meter - 1Turbine Woltmann type water meter with interchangeable mechanism - dry dial

• Woltmann type meter suitable for cold water.• The impeller which is of modern design, rotates on

stainless steel spindles mounted in the measuring chamber.

• The impeller is made of self-cleaning synthetic resin.• The complete metering units is easily removable from the

meter body.• The meter is designed to ensure high flow-rates with the

minimum head loss.• The counter is a super dry dial type meter.• The gear and the totalizer operate under vacuum in a dry

compartment, only the helix is submerged in the water. The transmission is achieved through a corrosion proof permanent magnetic drive which is protected by the cast iron meter body from external magnetic fields.

• A version suitable for telemetering is completed with a pulse output emitter.

Woltmann Water Meter - 2Main characteristics and features

• The straight reading register operates in a dry compartment, as a result the register always remains perfectly clear. EASY READING IN ANY WORKING CONDITION IS ENSURED.

• The meter is suitable for operation in hard water and under condition where deposits may occur, and also if there is sand in suspension.

• A suitable SHIELD protects the magnetic drive against any interference from external fields.

• The HYDRAULIC PERFORMANCE conforms to Class B of the ECC Standards.• A long operating life is guaranteed by the robust construction, which provides

maximum protection, due to the very low number of impeller revolution per cubic meter of water flow and due to the selection of the best quality materials regardless of cost.

• LOW COST OF OWNERSHIP IS ACHIEVED BY THE SIMPLICITY OF DESIGN (INTERCHANGEABLE MECHANISM VERSION) AND INEXPENSIVE MAINTENANCE.

• The meter is supplied with flanged ends and is easy to install on the horizontal, vertical or inclined pipe.

Installation example

The indication of 10 DN and 5 DN refers to the recommendation that suggest to have a length equal to 10 diameters before the meter and 5 diameters after the meter in order to not have turbulences that can affect the measurement
