Housedinaportedenclosureoflow-resonancemoldedcomposite,theSL4240leavesbehindtheboxyshapeoftraditionalsurfacemountspeakers,offeringinsteadasleeklookwithsmoothcurvesthatenhancetheambianceofanylocation.Thefrontfaceisfinishedwithadetachablefoam-backedwire-meshsteelgrille,available inblackorwhite,thatistrimmedwithanelegantsmoked-chromerim.The innovativeSLSeriesbrushed-aluminummountingyoke(included)offers180 degreespan,90 degreestilt,allowingforforoptimumloudspeakeraiming.Anoptionalballmountisalsoavailableforconcealed-wireinstallations.

Theloudspeakershallbeaprofessionalfull-rangeloudspeakersysteminaportedcompositeenclosuredesignedforsurface-mounting.

Driversfortheloudspeakersystemshallincludean8"/200mmlowfrequencydriveranda1"/25mmhighfrequencydriver.

Enclosurefortheloudspeakersystemshallbeconstructedoflow-resonancemoldedcomposite.Theenclosureshallbefinishedwithdurable,scuff-freeblackorwhitepaint.Thefrontoftheenclosureshallbeprotectedwithadetachablewrap-aroundsteelwire-meshgrillewithfoambacking.Thebackoftheenclosureshallhavearecessedball-mountreceptacleinwhichtheconnectorshallbe located.

Mountingbracketshallbesuppliedwiththeloudspeakersystem.Thebracketshallallowaiminginbothaxes(90°Vby180°H).The bracketshallmounttoanincludedwallplate.

Electronicsincorporatedintotheloudspeakersystemshallincludeapassivecrossoverat2.2kHzenablingtheloudspeakertosharethesameamplifierchannelwithsubwoofersystems.Arotaryswitchcaplocatedonthefrontpanelshallallowselectionbetweenfull-rangeandhigh-passmodes.Theloudspeakersystemshallalsoincludeatransformerenabledbyarotaryswitchcaponthefrontpanelthatsetstheloudspeakertooperateeitherinlow-impedancemode(16Ω)oratoneofthesupportedwattagesforhigh-impedanceoperation.Transformertapsat70Vshallbe60,30,15and7.5W.Transformertapsat100Vshallbe60,30,and15W.
