production scheduling and trafficking. Must be able to handle tight deadlines and changes to content on a moment’s notice. Must fill out both Insertion and Purchase Orders for all advertising and maintain budget constraints as needed
Needs to maintain creative design standards yet also provide follow-through of house-style for placement of products and typography when and where requested
Should posses working knowledge and proficient manipulation of Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Quark software applications
Subsequent image file preparation and cataloging is also required for use by other departments when creating final image files
Complete working knowledge of pre-press for print and file preparation Needs to have a good sense of humor and ability to work directly with all
department heads, and other associates and with minimum direction

spread was one of my first and was commended on how quickly I had adopted the house-style for both product, and typographic use of placement All images were cropped to size; thus reducing the overall size of the final for email to publication.

to the auction public and his specialty in clocks & watches as expertise, yet keep the fanfare to a minimum
Make it a “Skinner” ad while showing some of the intricacies of the products which will be highlighted at the up-coming auction.

Details to these images were manipulated in Photoshop to accent certain parts and pieces away from the flattened aspect displayed in the original images.
I created all the nameplates in Illustrator as well as Photoshop enhancements by muting the backgrounds of the cars including removal of a figure in the reflection of the main sedan.
Outside AdsOutside Ads This ad, for a special car
auction, was mandated to have high visibility going up against their top competitor who was vying for best position placement in the same publication.
Here the “pride of ownership” theme, as if displayed in an office or den, was created by using brass-looking nameplates to identify the vehicles. It was awarded right-hand placement and noted as Skinner’s highest responded ad by the publication.

Promotional Direct Mail PamphletPromotional Direct Mail Pamphlet Here the mailer was incorporated for synergetic
identity (the same layout as used for vertical ads) for direct mailing to the readership of the same publications.
More than just design: It is paramount that original patinas of objects be maintained in reproduction for auction integrity. I created all the required clipping paths as well as Photoshop image enhancements for lighting, shadow and color. I also did estimating, purchasing, proofing and follow-up with the printer whom produced the 10,000 pamphlets.
