2. How do I apply for a Pathway 2 assessment?
You must complete an application form. You can apply online at www.vetassess.com.au or download an application form. You must also provide:
a certified copy of your Australian qualification, including a Statement of Results
evidence you have worked full time in your occupation for 12 months in the last 3 years
evidence you have worked full time in paid employment in your occupation for a total of 3 years, i.e. taxation records, annual payment summaries, group certificates, pay slips and/or bank statements. This may include equivalent part-time work.
Full time employment is defined as a minimum of 38 hours per week. It is important you clearly show periods of part time employment.
3. How will VETASSESS assess your evidence?
An experienced assessor will check:
your qualification meets the Australian certificate requirements
you meet the employment requirements.
All your evidence will be reviewed by an assessor. The assessor will ring your referees, check your employment experience and confirm your Australian qualification. If your referees cannot be contacted to verify your work, you will receive an unsuccessful outcome.
Once your written evidence is validated and reviewed, you will be invited for a technical interview.
You must submit a decision-ready application. Any referees you supply must be contactable. It is your responsibility to ensure your application contains all the evidence necessary for a Pathway 2
assessment.
You must clearly show evidence you:
have worked full time in your occupation for 12 months in the last 3 years
have worked full time in paid employment in your occupation for a total of 3 years
for the occupation you are applying for.

How do I organise and present my assessment evidence?
To avoid delays and support a smooth assessment process, it is recommended you present your evidence in
the following order:
1. Resumé
2. Qualifications
3. Job- related evidence of employment
4. Financial evidence.
To make it easy for your assessor to find your evidence, make sure you divide your information into
sections. Use a cover page for each section of your evidence to clearly show the section. An example
is provided below.
Include item notes for each piece of evidence and a brief description of what it is.
When you submit your evidence of employment, you must show a clear timeline of employment. It is important your assessor can see evidence you worked the equivalent full time paid employment in your occupation for a total of 3 years and done this for at least 12 months in the last 3 years.
Remember to clearly show periods of part time employment.
For further information see Appendices.
