4 5WHAT IS SKILLS FOR ALL?

AM I ELIGIBLE?From July 2012, most South Australians will be eligible for a government funded training place to get the skills needed by business and industry for jobs now and in the future. You will be eligible for a government funded training place if, at the time of enrolment, you either reside or work in South Australia, and you are:• AnAustralianorNewZealandcitizen;or• ApermanentAustralianresident;or• Theholderofastatesponsoredvisaonapathway to permanent residencyAnd:• Aged16yearsorover;or• Anapprenticeortrainee.

Before accessing government funded training, you will need to confirm your eligibility by contacting a Skills for All Training Provider, calling the Infoline 1800 506 266 or accessing the Eligibility Calculator on the website www.skills.sa.gov.au/training-learning/check-youreligibility

WHAT GOVERNMENT FUNDED TRAINING IS AVAILABLE TO ME?The number and type of government funded training courses available to you will depend on your employment status and highest qualification when you enrol. All eligible South Australians can access some funded training from July 2012. A table explaining how this works is available at the end of this publication.

There are more than 1400 nationally recognised qualifications that will be funded under Skills for All and in 2013 a number of skill sets will also be funded.

WHAT IS SKILLS FOR ALL?

HOW MUCH WILL THE TRAINING COST ME?

Over 300 courses on the Funded Training List at Certificate I and II levels will be fee-free with no course fees.

In addition, courses determined by the State Government to be priorities for the State including courses to improve reading, writing, use of numbers and computer skills, will also be fee-free.

You will pay course fees for most courses at Certificate III to Advanced Diploma levels. The amount you pay will be determined by the Skills for All Training Provider up to a maximum course fee which is set by the government at $7000 per course. There are a very small number of courses that will cost more and you can check with the Infoline 1800 506 266, if you are being charged more.

Fee concessions are available and some Training Providers will offer VET FEE HELP whereby you can defer the cost of your training similar to HECS style loan arrangements.

All Skills for All Training Providers must publish their course fees, so that you understand how much it will cost and can make an informed decision about where you want to train.

HOW DO I FIND A SKILLS FOR ALL TRAINING PROVIDER?

Skills for All Training Providers have been through a rigorous approval process to ensure they provide high quality training, have strong links with industry and support students to complete their training. Only Skills for All Training Providers can offer funded training under Skills for All. A list is available at: www.skills.sa.gov.au/findatrainingprovider

Before you make your decision to commence training, shop around and compare Training Providers to find the best option for you.

Once you have made your decision, you will need to show your Training Provider that you meet the Skills for All eligibility criteria and any entry requirements relating to the specific course before being enrolled in government funded training.

WHERE DO I GO NEXT?

You can find more information at: www.skills.sa.gov.au or call the Infoline 1800 506 266.

8 9HOW MUCH DO THE COURSES COST? WHAT ARE INCIDENTIALS?

Each course has its own set of incidental expenses (materials) that compliment each course and enables students to have all the professional equipment that they need in order to satisfactorily complete the qualification, and be equipped to step into their career with all the right tools.

The incidentals include items such as textbooks, workbooks, professional equipment and the Colour Cosmetica Academy uniform.

Incidentals need to be paid in full before the commencement of any course at Colour Cosmetica Academy Pty Ltd.

Listed below is the Colour Cosmetica Academy price list for each of the courses that we deliver under Skills for All. The schedule shows exactly what the course costs are, what the funded amount will be, and the final student fees.

In addition to the Colour Cosmetica Academy application and finance forms, you will need to also complete the Skills for All application form (once you have checked your eligibility) and the Collection and Use of Personal Information form. Please contact the Colour Cosmetica Office if you need assistance with checking you eligibility or completing any paperwork. The Skills for All application forms are located at the back of this information pack.
