Aker Solutions’ subsidiary Aker Oilfield Services is offering fully integrated services ranging from subsea installation and completion to advanced well intervention operations from the company’s fleet of state-of-the-art monohull well intervention units.

Skandi Santos is a state of the art subsea equipment support vessels (SESV) operating for Petrobras off the coast of Brazil. The unit is specially designed and equipped for deepwater subsea equipment installation, intervention or recovery, and represents a first class field construction platform for deep and ultra-deep waters.

The unit is environmental friendly with focus on low fuel consumption, low exhaust emissions, and has precautions in accordance with DNV’s

“Clean” class requirements incorporated into the vessel design.

The unit’s main features are:• Ultra deepwater capabilities • Installation, testing and maintenance of subsea modules • Rapid module deployment • ROV with possibility to launch ROV in moonpool, on starboard side and port side• Subsea construction and maintenance work

The 121 meter long vessel with its Class 3 dynamic positioning and classification makes for a secure and flexible working platform with a large operational window for subsea well intervention, installation and construction work in rough weather and sea conditions around the world.

Skandi Santos comes with one heave compensated crane of 250 tonnes capacity. The vessel has a skidding system with pallet capacities of 125 tonnes in the moonpool area and 50 tonnes outside, which enables safe and reliable equipment handling in rough weather conditions.
