Why this Topic?Training Need Identifications
Training Needs Identification is the crux of training & Development.
Identification of needs is the first step In Training & development process.
If we will not identify the training needs of an employees, it may occur wastage of time as well as money of an organisation. So it is necessary to identify the training needs.
It is worthless to give training to employees without knowing the desired needs.
TRAINING
According to Edwin.B.flippo “training is the act of
increasing knowledge and skills of an employee
for doing a particular job”.
Training involves the development of skills that
are usually necessary to perform a specific job.
It should bring positive changes in knowledge,
skills and Behaviour.
Training Needs Identification” (TNI) is the method of determining if a training need exists and, if it does, what training is required to fill the gap.
What is Training Needs Identification?
OBJECTIVES
To increase knowledge of an employees in KPCL
for doing specific job.
To impart new skills among the employees in
KPCL systematically so that they learn quickly.
To bring about changes in the behaviour of
employees toward their colleagues, supervisors
and organization.
To improve overall performance of an
organization.
Cont.
To make the employees handle materials,
machinery and equipment efficiently thus to
check wastage of time and resources.
To reduce the number of accidents by providing
safety training to the KPCL employees.
To prepare employees of KPCL, for higher jobs by
developing advanced skills in them.

objectives.
Overall aim of training program is to
increase organizational effectiveness.
However each training program should have
