Topic: Sensational Salads (This is part of the HIP series)

Description: Today’s salads are packed with a variety of greens and other

nutritious ingredients to add texture and taste. Salad dressings are also lowering

the fat and heavy ingredients. We will focus on new trends in salads and how they

can add variety to family meals.

Topic: Sous Vide/Smokeless Indoor Grill Deadline to register: June 6

Description: Kitchen appliances are popular gifts! Find out how to maximize use

and save time when preparing family meals. Equipment and food safety will be

covered and some great tasting recipes will be prepared and shared.

Description: Have a picky eater? This class will encourage your child to eat fruits

and vegetables through a fun hands-on class. This class is designed for ages 4-7 and

limited to 15 participants.

Description: This class is geared towards ages 7-16. Participants must be able to

Date: Each Tuesday: June 25 to July 30 - Meade County Extension Pavilion Topic: Power of Produce Program (POP) Description: Does your child have what it takes to learn the power of produce? If so, the Meade County Farmers’ Market is the place to be! The Power of Produce program will educate and inspire children ages 4-12 to make healthier choices through fun and fresh food-based activities. After completing the weekly activities, each child can obtain certificates they may use to purchase their own items from a vendor further engaging them with the market. ____________________________________________________________________
