I want to share with you part of an email from Gary Lindley, Director of Church Growth and Development. In 1980, we launched the Shareholder program to help establish new churches throughout Central Texas Conference. In the 22 years since, the need has not diminished. If anything, the need has increased. As the numbers of un-churched people continues to grow, the opportunity for us as people of Christ to reach out to our brothers and sisters grows as well. February is Church Growth SHARES Month. We invite you to join us in helping to continue planting new churches to reach those who don't yet know the love of Jesus Christ. By purchasing Church Growth SHARES, your congregation provides the financial support the Conference needs to start new churches. I am counting on you to promote the Church Growth SHARE program and invite your congregation to purchase shares in February. Here are a few ways you can help : -You will be receiving SHARE brochures in the next two weeks. Please consider placing these in the pew racks for the month of February and pointing them out to your congregation. Or place them in a prominent place in your foyer, narthex or other gathering space. - Pray for the un-churched, for our new church starts, for the Center for Evangelism and Church Growth and for our Conference leadership as they identify the needs for new churches. We thank you for all you do in the name of Christ and pray that with your support we will continue to be able to plant new churches and reach new people in Christ's name. THOUGHTS FROM PASTOR VAUGHN

February is Church Growth Shares month.

Here are a few ways you can help: -You will be receiving SHARE brochures in the next two weeks.

In Christ,

Gary Lindley Executive Director Center for Evangelism and Church Growth

Salutations from Ms. Sandy

The Children’s Ministry Committee met on January 22, 2012 and decided to set goals of an average attendance of 10 in the Bee-lievers’ class, and 10 in the FROGS for Sunday School. The committee discussed an average attendance of 15 in Kids’ Choir. The commit-tee also decided to continue the Kids’ Fun Night on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evenings at 5:00 before Kids’ Choir.

The Easter Egg Hunt will be the Saturday before Easter, April 7th. The Bunny Breakfast will be discontinued and members will be asked to bring snack foods. After discussion with the Children’s Ministry Committee and several VBS volunteers after the meeting, we will use the VBS materials called “Babylon – Daniel’s Courage in Captivity”. The dates will be July 8-12 from 6–8:30.

What’s Happening

Two pastors were travelling together and one of them had a card that had the number to call God. The other one asked to use it. He was informed the call would

be $1 per minute. He hung up. The next day, after they'd reached Texas, the pastor really felt the need to try the call to God again, so he redialed the num-ber. This time the voice on the line said the call was 25 cents a minute. Puzzled,

he asked the pastor who'd given him the number, "Why it was cheaper in Texas?" The pastor replied....."Well, now its a local call."

“DINNERS 4 DELIVERY” That’s the name of our new program for “Reaching In” and getting meals delivered to families needing help during illness, hospitalizations, after funeral services or any reason that one of our church family needs assistance with meals. We will be keeping dinners ready for quick notice in the freezers we have available.
