Sunday, August 17th 6:00 pm on South Lawn Emmanuel is hosting a cookout for the church family to welcome Academy students and their parents and families. We want to reach out and encourage these folks and spend some time getting to know them. The menu will include grilled hamburgers and hotdogs, potato chips, drinks, and cookies. We have reserved the SJBA Bounce House for the children. We have sent invitations to the families and anticipate a good turnout. Hope EBC members will help us welcome them. They are also excited to announce that a young lady who just graduated high school has asked Christ to come into her heart, forgive her and God has given her a new heart! A special thanks goes out to those of you who responded to the request for fi- nancial support to help with expenses for our two summer interns, Kristen and Ethan. They will be helping with VBS and other planned activities, and some not planned. Em- manuel’s Mission Team sent money to help with airline tickets to Canada for the interns.
