Breathing Bag Valves

A BagTail Pop-off with a gas evacuator built in, for use in a modified Jackson-Reese set-up.

The unit takes the exhaust gases from the operating room through a simple device, requiring no

additional apparatus, fitting directly into the tail of the bag and the other port connected to the hospital

suction system. This evacuator has a negative relief valve to prevent the suction from either collapsing

the bag or affecting gas flows.

For cleaning, gas sterilization is recommended.

Suction tubing 1/4” diameter or larger should be used.

Not to be used with explosive gases.

#19-00-389 - The Bag Tail Scavenger Valve

The Bag Tail Scavenger Valve reduces pollution in the operating room by providing a means for

capturing exhausted gases.

This lightweight, reusable valve features an indexed variable orifice single-hand operation, low

back pressure, and may be adapted to any breathing bag with a tail. Tail end valve is 3/8”.

Evacuator end will fit both 22mm and 19mm female openings.

#19-00-395 - Palm Type

BagTail Pop-off which is mounted at 90° to the adapter with an extension of lightweight

aluminum for gripping in the palm to facilitate single-handed operation of the Pop-off

(anodized green).

This spring-loaded, adjustable pop-off inserts in the tail of a breathing bag

Operation

Closed PositionThe device is now closed and locked.

This is the proper position when the

CASTrGARD is being used. This is

also the correct position after the

devices have been removed prior to

transporting the machine or cart, or

when storing devices not in use.

Closing DeviceTo apply device, place the

CASTrGARD in the open

position around the wheel. Bring

both halves of device together until

locking tab locks into opposite side.

Locking tab must be fully seated in

locking tab opening with edges of

device flush together.

OperationPlace CASTrGARD on all four wheels.

The machine or cart will push cords

and cables in front of the

CASTrGARDS to prevent wheel

obstructions.

Opening DeviceTo open, face the CASTrGARD so

that locking latch is visible. Place

right thumb on locking tab and push

in. With the left hand, hold the left

half of the device and pull out away

from right half. The device may now

be removed from around the wheel.

Repeat for each wheel.

MC-500 utilizes three methods of filtration;

multi-layer media, electrostatic attraction,

Use your own standard handles with this blade. Save on thecost of a new one. The engineering in the 2001 FIBERLIGHT®

Laryngoscope kept the bulb in the blade.

By positioning the light in the bottom of the blade, flickering,

corrosion and the possibility of a loose bulb entering the oral

airway has been eliminated.

Equally important, there is no longer a hot bulb in the oral

cavity. Also, the bulb is easily accessible for checking or

removal.

The Wisconsin Laryngoscope Blade offers a straight

spatula and a flange that expands slightly toward the

distal portion of the blade. This feature increases the

visual field and reduces the possibility of trauma

during intubation.

curved blade types. During laryngoscopy, the tip or

“beak” of the blade is compressed into the angle

formed by the base of the tongue and the epiglottis

(vallecula), indirectly raising the epiglottis.

Oxiport Miller

The Oxiport is a modification of the Miller or MacIntosh Blade that allows an

individual to perform a laryngoscopy and intubation with less risk of hypoxia.

A tube is built into these blades that permits delivery of O2 or other gas

mixtures during intubation.

This blade for infants and children is gently curved over the distal third

and is designed to lift the epiglottis indirectly in the manner of the

Macintosh blade. The blade section permits binocular vision thus

allowing better judgement of depth and consequently less risk of

trauma.

Huffman Prism

Clipped to the vertical wall of an Adult size 2, 3 or 4 MacIntosh

Blade, this device is used when the view of the vocal cord is

impaired during nasal intubation and for post-operating examination

of the larynx. It consists of an optically polished prism which

provides a refraction of 30°. To prevent condensation, warm the

prism before use by immersing it, (attached to the laryngoscope) in

water at about 48°C (120°F).

The Phillips Laryngoscope® Blade integrates the straight Jackson

blade design with the curved distal tip Miller design, providing

greater visibility and an almost direct line approach to the trachea

during difficult intubations. Unique lamp mounting provides deep

illumination downward and inward, while the low profile flange

reduces the risk of oral damage.

OXYGEN REGULATORS

- TWO STAGE - PressureThis two stage model is for use in applications requiring a preset pressure of 50psi. Two stage

accuracy provides a steady, even delivery pressure regardless of decreasing cylinder pressure.

This design is similar to having two regulators in one brass body. The first stage reduces cylinder

pressure approximately 90% and the second stage provides the accuracy desired in many

lock catheters securely in place, yet versatile enough for almost every patient. The

Grip-Lok CS provides a foam die-cut insert that matches the shape of the catheter

hub for proper positioning and additional securement stability.

• Soft and flexible fabric design improves patient comfort.

• Provides superior securement for both horizontal and vertical lifting accidental line pulls.

• Simple to apply, inspect and adjust.

• Hypoallergenic, breathable and latex-free to reduce the risk of allergic reactions and

skin irritation.

Prepare the skin according to the standard hospital protocol for dressing application.

Skin prep or hair removal may be required on some patients for better adhesion.

Open the top flap and slide the Grip-Lok under

catheter hub. Position the catheter hub down into

the foam cut-out and press gently to the adhesive.

Pull and remove one side of the bottom release liner

while holding Grip-Lok in position. Then pull and

remove the other side of the bottom release liner.

Pull and remove the inner release liner under the

top flap to expose adhesive.

Secure the top strap over the catheter hub and

press the adhesive in place. The top strap can be

peeled back to inspect and adjust the catheter hub.

lock epidural catheters securely in place, yet versatile enough for almost every

patient. The Grip-Lok 3300MEPI provides a foam insert that prevents kinking

of the catheter as it is being secured.

• Soft and flexible fabric design improves patient comfort.

• Provides superior securement for both horizontal and vertical lifting accidental

line pulls.

• Simple to apply and easy to inspect and adjust.

• Hypoallergenic, breathable and latex-free to reduce the risk of allergic reactions

Secure the top flap over the catheter and apply

gentle pressure to the fabric area over the catheter

adhesive.

as well transmitting clear heart and lung sounds to the anesthesiologist.

Truer Medical’s Skin Temperature Sensor is intended for monitoring a

patient’s surface temperature during surgery, postoperative

recovery, or whenever a clinician needs to accurately assess skin

temperature. The Truer Medical Skin Sensor has reflective silver

material on one side to insulate the sensor from any heat generated

by operating room lights or heat lamps.
