What happened to your cultural heritage ?

How many of you speak and write Latvian - it seems the Soviet brainwashing did a good job - everything about Latvia is in

Russian!

Very sad indeed.

JN > First of all – this is all what you can say about SHTATNIKI.COM???

What happened to your cultural heritage ?

JN > Cultural heritage – my cultural heritage was formed in my home, with the Best and the Worst memories about Latvia

and Latvians. Presently, if you looked deeper than negativity – I do probably more for my heritage and Riga than most,

probably than all. I cover my period – that‟s what important to me and my generation.

I give Latvian speaking Latvieshu Strelniki, Perkon Krust and legionnaires and Latvians communists to somebody else –

may be you would be interested to bring the light on this?

How many of you speak and write Latvian - it seems the Soviet brainwashing did a good job - everything about Latvia is in Russian!

years not talking Latvian) almost fluently. Most of Shtatniks, (Russians, Latvians, Jews) speak very good Latvian still! We

are Ridzinieki – it comes with it! Most of them did more for freedom in Latvia than Latvians „with heritage” of my

time. And in return – they have passports of different color, second rated.

But you right about the site – and the reason is: site covers 1955-1975, I did my homework and result is – almost none

Latvian speaking people CARE about Shtatniki, and this period.

Most of readers are – (you like it or not) – read Russian, this are the people who care about period, Riga, our times there.

And they DO NOT CARE about nationalities, language and the rest of garbage.

Soviets did a good job, really! Many of us where imprisoned, all of us loved freedom, and most of us left soviet paradise!

If this site would be about Latvian History or art – Latvian & English a must. But not on this topic – this is different people

and circle.
