CYCLE OF THE ENERGY AND QUALITY OF THE ELECTRIC ENERGY
Series of modules and instruction manuals with suggested experiences. The modules are equipped with points of
measure through safety terminals to help the students during measurements and guarantee high level safety. The
levels of voltage and power of the modules 1 … 6 are coordinated to allow the coupling of all the modules and allow
the simulation and the study of the complete cycle of the energy.
MODULE 1: PRODUCTION OF THE ENERGY TYPE CE-PE/2
The module simulates a plant for the production of the energy.
It is possible: parallel with the net, generation of active and
reactive power. The production mechanism is faithfully
simulated and does not need any rotating motors. It includes
the principal electric protections of a plant and a multifunction
instrument for measures.
MODULE 2: TRANSMISSION OF THE ENERGY TYPE SLE/2
The module simulates two high voltage lines. Study of the
lines working at no-load and at load, change of voltage, voltage
drops, losses in line, fluxes of active and reactive power,
phasing, parallel connected lines. As option, it is available a kit
for EMC study at 50 Hz.
MODULE 3: DISTRIBUTION OF THE ENERGY TYPE IDLE/3
The module simulates a medium voltage line. It includes power
supply, line model, distribution transformer. Study of the line
working at no-load and at load, change of voltage, voltage
drops, losses in line, fluxes of active and reactive power,
phasing. Analysis of convenience to carry energy at high
voltage. As option, it is available a kit for EMC study at 50 Hz.
MODULE 4: PROTECTION RELAY TYPE RE/1 AND RE/2
RE/1 Protection of machinery and power lines from overload,
short circuit, earth fault
RE/2 Protection of lines and power transformers in radial and
ring systems from undervoltage, overvoltage, overcurrent,
residual overcurrent, residual overvoltage, maximum
directional current, directional of earth fault, thermal image
for lines and transformers. MODULE 5: PHASE SHIFTING TRANSFORMER TYPE PST/1
Phase Shifting Transformer is a transformer that has an
adjustable phase shifting between input and output. The active
power flowing in a transmission line is proportional to the
voltages on the sending and receiving side and to the sine of
the electrical angle between both sides. The PST allows to
control active power flow in parallel transmission lines
changing the electrical angle between input and output.
With SLE/2 and PST/1 the student can simulate a load flow
problem shifting active power from the first line to the second.

MODULE 6: PARALLEL OPERATION OF ALTERNATOR
The module includes alternator coupled to a.c. motor, inverter
to adjust speed of the motor and dc power supply for
excitation of alternator. The module allows synchronizing and
parallel operation of rotating machine with infinite power bus.
After the parallel operation it is possible to adjust mechanical
power of the motor and excitation current of the alternator to
generate and transfer to bus active and reactive power.
MODULE 7: DISTRIBUTION CABIN - STATE OF THE NEUTRAL -
INDUSTRIAL INSTALLATION TYPE PANN/DISTRIB
The module simulates distribution cabins medium/low voltage.
It includes distribution transformer, breaker, overtemperature,
residual current protections, line protections at output. It
allows to study the different states of neutral in low voltage
distribution plant. Measuring instrument and remote control
for: voltage, current, power, energy, pf. Complete of software,
monitoring and data storage. Measurement of earth
resistance, insulation, loop resistance, functionality of residual
current switches, continuity of protection conductor.
MODULE 8: USE OF ENERGY IN RESIDENTIAL INSTALLATION
TYPE PANN/CIVIL
The module simulates the conditions of a civil residential
installation. It includes: digital energy counter with display for
measurements of electrical, consumption and tele-metering
parameters. Advanced functions as double-hour tariff, analysis
of consumption and systems to take off loads in case of
overload. Measurement of earth resistance, insulation, failure
ring, functionality of residual current switches, continuity of
protection conductor.
Available both in separate modules kit or full assembled
simulator.

MODULE 9: ANALYSIS OF ELECTRICAL NETWORK, POWER
QUALITY, DISTURBANCE AND HARMONICS
TYPE KIT/ANALDIST
The module studies and measures the quality of the electric
energy, relief of the harmonicas, takes the relative corrective
provisions to obtain acceptable wave forms for the good
working of the electric and electronic equipment fed by the
electrical network. It is possible: realization of the typical
circuits, acquisition of the wave forms: voltage, current,
evaluation of the harmonic distortions and the level of the
disturbance, use of filters to simulate troubles or improve the
situation after the analysis of the electric energy and the
tracking of troubles.

The student can simulate the inputs parameters ( solar

The simulator calculates the output parameters like solar

NO PRESSURE THERMAL SOLAR SYSTEM WITH HEAT STORAGE
FOR RESIDENTIAL HOUSE SPACE HEATING
Solar heater is made of parallel rows of transparent glass
tubes. Each tube contains a glass outer tube and metal
absorber tube attached to a fin. The fin is covered with a
coating that absorbs well solar energy, but which inhibits
radiative heat loss. Air is removed from the space between the
glass tubes and the metal tubes to form a vacuum, which
eliminates conductive and convective heat loss. A well-
insulated storage tank stores hot water. The system uses a
pump to circulate household water through the collectors and
into the home.

The trainers allow realizing, testing and certifying several types of electrical installations. The electrical components
typical of the electrical installation are incorporated into module with synoptic with the component symbol, the wiring

Brushless motor and controller
