“The development of ultrasound has been the most important single factor stimulating the creation of the specialty of phlebology and improving our understanding and treatment of chronic venous disease. The RPhS credential is important because it is the only credential we have that addresses the full breadth of the practice of ultrasound in phlebology. It addresses not only deep venous thrombosis evaluation, but venous reflux and ultrasound in venous procedures as well.”
