Currently the University has 20 colleges and a total enrollment of more than 30032 with 21989 undergraduates and 1906 postgraduates. Shihezi University has ten specialties which includes Agriculture, Medicine, Engineering, Economics and Trade Management, Literature and Arts, Sciences, Education, Law and History. The colleges offer 4 Doctorate Degrees, 52 Masters’ Degrees and 66 Bachelors’ Degree programs. The University staff consists of 1527 full-time teachers, 152 professors and 450 associate professors.

The University makes sure that every new student when they arrive to the hostel after a long travel from India, have a proper refreshments and food to eat in their hostel rooms. The new students are guided by the union members and senior students to show around the University campus, University canteen, Classrooms, laboratory and main attractions in the city.
Every year the students arrive from India and receive a warm welcome at the airport. We arrange a special bus from the airport to the University. All the senior students help the new students to welcome them in the hostel soon after they arrive, Shihezi University.

The Girls and boys had organized some amazing activities and delicious sweets for the occasion. In the later part of the evening, the students enjoyed a dance performance in front of the hostel.
