SEHS  Procedures  on  Transcript  Grades  for  Students  Who  Transfer  In    

1) Students  who  transfer  in  from  a  school  that  uses  letter  grades  (A+  to  F)  will  be  converted  using  the  following  conversion  table:

    These  grades  will  be  counted  in  GPA,  Honor  Roll,  and  Class  Rank  calculations.      2) Students  who  transfer  in  with  a  Pass/Fail  grade  will  be  given  an  85  for  Pass  and  a  60  for  Fail  

for  transcript  purposes  and  will  receive  credit  for  courses  with  a  Pass  score.  However,  these  scores  will  be  excluded  from  GPA,  Honor  Roll,  and  Class  Rank  calculations.    

 3)  Students  who  transfer  in  with  grades  based  on  a  scale  other  than  0-­‐100  will  have  their  grades  converted  similarly  to  Pass/Fail  [the  principal  will  convert  the  scores  in  consultation  with  the  counselors]  and  will  receive  credit  for  courses  with  a  score  of  65  or  better.  However,  these  scores  will  be  excluded  from  GPA,  Honor  Roll,  and  Class  Rank  calculations.

SHERBURNE-EARLVILLE CENTRAL SCHOOL REGULAR BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING – December 14, 2015

BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Thomas Morris, Michael Ulrich, Susan Osborne Annette Bagnall-Graham, Gregory Parker, Thomas Caton BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT: Michael Khoury The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. in the Elementary Library Classroom by Thomas Morris, President, with the following in attendance: Eric Schnabl, Superintendent; Todd Griffin, Assistant Superintendent; S-E staff, and Members of the Community. Thomas Morris led the Pledge to the Flag. PUBLIC QUESTION AND ANSWER PERIOD - none EXECUTIVE SESSION - none INFORMATIONAL REPORTS Eric Schnabl presented voting options to the Board of Education, comparing pricing for paper ballots and using the voting machines through the Chenango County Board of Elections. On motion made by Susan Osborne, seconded by Gregory Parker, and carried by members present, the Board accepted the rental of the optical scanners through the Board of Elections. Eric Schnabl informed the Board that the BCK Building Condition Survey that was on the agenda is postponed due to BCK re-scheduling its meeting until Tuesday, so there was no information to present. AGENDA MODIFICATIONS - none MINUTES – Minutes of the meeting held on November 30, 2015, were presented for approval. On motion made by Susan Osborne, seconded by Annette Bagnall-Graham, and carried by members present, the Minutes were approved as presented. TREASURER’S REPORT – The Treasurer’s Report for November 2015 was presented for approval. On motion made by Thomas Caton, seconded by Susan Osborne, and carried by members present, the Treasurer’s Report was approved as presented. CORRESPONDENCE Eric Schnabl read a letter from Jennifer Eislin informing the Board of her intent to take maternity leave beginning around May 4, 2016. Eric Schnabl read a letter received from Alison Cleary informing the Board of her intent to take maternity leave beginning around February 22, 2016. CONSENT AGENDA On motion made by Susan Osborne, seconded by Michael Ulrich, and carried by members present, the consent agenda was approved as presented. DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEMS Dr. Morris mentioned he has heard positive feedback from community members, and feels the school resource officer’s presence has a positive effect in the school. Can we look into having another officer or more time from the resource officer we currently have. Eric Schnabl explained funding and resources are limited. Dr. Morris asked about Curricu_Tech and Joanne Blenis gave a quick update on technology. Dr. Morris asked Eric Schnabl to give a State of the School Address in the near future. Susan Osborne brought up substitutes and the Substitute Registry and there was a brief discussion on the processes involved in securing subs. PUBLIC QUESTION AND ANSWER PERIOD - none

EXECUTIVE SESSION On motion made by Susan Osborne, seconded by Annette Bagnall-Graham, and carried by members present, the Board moved into Executive Session at 7:15 p.m. to discuss Personnel and Salary Discussion.
