    Sheet 3: Orthographic Projections

    Note:

Approximate time required to complete the problem neatly is specified undereach.

Submit the home assignment at the beginning of the Drawing Session. Practice the remaining problems roughly on a Sketch Book before coming to the

    Drawing Hall.

    Home Assignment:

    1. Using first angle projection, draw the front view, top view and a suitable side view of the

objects shown in Figure 5 so as to capture all the details. The arrow indicates the direction

from which the front view should be observed. [15 min]

    2. Using third angle projection, draw the front view, top view and a suitable side view of the

objects shown in Figure 5 so as to capture all the details. The arrow indicates the direction

from which the front view should be observed. [15 min]

    3. Using first angle projection, draw the necessary orthographic views of the objects shown

in Figure 9 so as to capture all the details. The arrow indicates the direction from which

the front view should be observed. [30 min]

    4. Using third angle projection, draw the necessary orthographic views of the objects shown

in Figure 10 so as to capture all the details. The arrow indicates the direction from which

the front view should be observed. [30 min]

    5. Figure 11 show the orthographic projections of two objects in first angle. Neatly sketch

their pictorial views in freehand and then draw them in third angle. [20 min]

    6. Figure 14 show the orthographic projections of two objects in third angle. Neatly sketch

their pictorial views in freehand and then draw them in first angle. [20 min]

    Drawing Hall Assignment:

    1. Using first angle projection, draw the front view, top view and a suitable side view of the

objects shown in Figures 1 and 2 so as to capture all the details. The arrow indicates the

direction from which the front view should be observed. [(15x2=30 min]

    2. Using third angle projection, draw the front view, top view and a suitable side view of the

objects shown in Figures 3 and 4 so as to capture all the details. The arrow indicates the

direction from which the front view should be observed. [15x2=30 min]

    3. Using first angle projection, draw the necessary orthographic views of the objects shown

in Figure 7 so as to capture all the details. The arrow indicates the direction from whichthe front view should be observed. [30 min]

    4. Using third angle projection, draw the necessary orthographic views of the objects shown

in Figure 8 so as to capture all the details. The arrow indicates the direction from which

the front view should be observed. [30 min]

    5. Figure 12 show the orthographic projections of two objects in first angle. Neatly sketch

their pictorial views in freehand and then draw them in third angle. [20 min]

    6. Figure 13 show the orthographic projections of two objects in third angle. Neatly sketch

their pictorial views in freehand and then draw them in first angle. [20 min]
