Once upon a time there was a little breetle

bored of being alone. So she wanted to find a

friend.

She put on onion leaves as headscarf and

nutshell as shoes. She made up , scented and

went away looking for a friend.

The little breetle walking round the fields

she tried to find friends fields. She reached the

hill where she saw a shepherd smoking a pipe.

The shepherd looked at the breetle and asked:

Tik-tik khanum said:

-Oh, little Breetle , where are you going?

Breetle looked sourly at him.

- It is you, a little Breetle. Everybody

knows that I am Tik-tik khanum.

Shepherd said:

-Sorry, lovely girl, where are you going so

smartly dressed up?

Tik-tik khanum answered:

-Shepherd, I fell lonely in these fields, I

am looking for a friend.

The shepherd said:

-Oh, my darling, you can never find a better

friend than me. Let’s live together and share

everything: I shall never eat anything without

you.

-If I make you anger, what will you do to

me?

The shepherd showed his stick and said:

-I’ll beat you with this stick.

Little Breetle was afraid and run away.

Not far from going away she met the Fox.

Fox looked at her and said:

-Oh, little Breetle, where are you going like

a bride?

Little Breetle answered angrily:

-Fox, look at me attentively. Everybody

knows that I am Tik-tik khanum.

Fox said:

-Oh, my honey, excuse me, now I shall

keep you in my mind Tik-tik khanum. Where

are you going?

Tik-tik khanum looked fondly at Fox and

said:

-You know, Fox, the life is short and I am

still alone in the world. I’m looking for a friend.

The sly Fox said:

-Black eyed Little Breetle, walk around, but

you can never find a friend like me. Let’s be

friend.

Little Breetle said:

-Tell me please, if I make you anger what

will you do to me?

-I’ll mash and chew you under my teeth

and don’t care about you.

Little Breetle was afraid of the fox’s words

and run away.

Waving her headscarf she met Mouse on

her way. He saw that she was as sweetish as he

was. He began his talk sweetly:

Long haired Suray khanum

Tall, nice Buray khanum

Where are you going so little fair

Smoothing your black hair.

She was satisfied with his praise. She was

ashamed and took off her headscarf. Little

Breetle said:

-My dear Mouse, I’m going to find a real

friend.

Mouse answered quickly:

-Walk around, but you can never find a

trusty friend better than me . Let’s live together

till the end of our life happily.

Little Breetle felt that the mouse was who

she was searching all this time. She asked:

-OK, I agree with you. Tell me, please, if I

make you angry, what will you do to me?

Mouse said:

“What are you talking about? I don’t know

what is beating. I will never hurt you will do

whatever you want”

Little Breetle willingly agreed.

They went to Mouse’s house. They lived

happily for a month together.

One day Mouse heard that there was a

wedding party at khan’s palace. He said her

happily:

“ Today is a wedding party at khan’s house.

There is delicious food there . I’ll go to the

wedding and bring something delicious for you

too .It is dangerous to go there. You stay at home.

Don’t go out until I come back.”

Tik-tik khanum agreed.

The mouse went to khan’s palace. As he

reached the palace he slowly began eating

delicious things in the corner of the room. But

suddenly he worried about Tik-tik khanum and

thought: “ Tik-tik khanum is alone at home. I

haven’t taken anything for her. I have to take these

sweets for her .”

The Breetle bored of waiting for Mouse.

She went out of the nest and came to the road.

She came near the hollow to drink water. As

she bending into the hollow she fell into it.

While she was drowning she began crying “

Help me! Help me!”

Suddenly she saw the men riding on horses

.She understood that they were hurring to Khan’s

palace. Little Breetle cried loudly:

Hey , riding on a horse

Going to Khan’s house

Tell mister Mouse

Long-haired Suray khanum

Tall, nice Buray khanum

Has fell into the water

Rescue me very quicker.

The men riding on horses looked around but

saw nobody there and they continued their way.

After a while they reached Khan’s palace and

had a fun there.

Khan asked them:

-What interesting event have you seen on

your way?

One of the guests told:

On the way we heard a noise who said such as:

Hey , riding on a horse

Going to Khan’s house

Say mister Mouse

We looked around but saw nobody there.

Suddenly Mouse heard the conversation

among the guests . He threw the sweets out

and ran to help her. When he reached his nest ,

he heard a noise . “Help , help” that was the

noise of his friend Tik-tik khanum . When he

saw her drawing he was upset.

He gave his hand to her quickly and said:

-Give your hand, please.

Tik-tik khanum turned her head like the

beads and angrily said:

- No, no. I am sulky with you.

Mouse said again:

-Give me your hand.

Tik-tik khanum was very angry:

-No, no. I am sulky with you.

The Mouse became soft and repeated once

more:

- Give me your hand , please.

Being much angrily to the Mouse she said :

-I said that I am hurt you.

Mouse raged very much and said:

- It is up to you then. If you don’t make

peace with me I am leaving……

The mouse turned his head over angrily and

went away. Seeing his going Little Breetle

caught quickly from his tale and rescued

herself. Mouse went to Khan’s palace again.

But he didn’t know that Little Breetle had

hung over his tale and was saved.

As a result Little Breetle stayed alone again.
